It will take till after xmas before we see the best of him,new country, league, team it cant be easy for him.
Give him a chance at least,he was playing in a back four that except for jags arnt regular Even players like watson and stones made plenty of mistakes when first starting in the team.
I thought he settled down ok in the second half.

Thought he looked out of his depth, but I'll reserve final judgment until after Christmas. He needs time to settle into a new country, a new team, and a new league. Alcaraz didn't have those excuses.

It's very interesting to go onto other clubs forums.Funes Mori had to fight his way into Rivers team but eventually tied down his place. One can see the typical fans impatience such as the guy who complains about spending 10 million on a player from an inferior league while Argentina fans are wondering about this guy playing for the national team whose champions lose to Porto and runners up to to the Greek champions at home.If River lost to a Greek team in the Monumental well What can you say.How on earth can you guys expect a player to settle into a completely different football culture immediately. He will try to play his way out of defence always expecting a midfielder to make himself available.OK it doesn't happen in England so he has now experienced this strange phenomenon
He will of course learn the difference but really is this the way futbol should be played

There is definitely some promise there, he is certainly no shrinking violet, against some teams I think we lack an aggressive header of the ball at the back and I think this lad could develop into just that.

He doesn't lack confidence, think his full debut against WBA was a little Besic. By that I mean, in my opinion, it looked like he wanted to impress greatly... gliding across the pitch like Stones would, and trying to place a precision pass but it not quite coming off, or mis-timing a header which could have been dealt with in a safer less dramatic manner.

This being said, I think other than the first goal which was his & then Barrys' fault - he was defensively sound, and certainly a working project but an exciting one at that.

I think the lad did fine, a little nervous but you would expect that. Good in the air and a decent footballer. I think the speed of thought and movement is quicker than he is used too especially players running blindside, but that will come.
