It is early days, as Vickery says, but that only goes to show how well he has settled. I think there's plenty more to come from him yet too. It worried me when Vickery said his piece but have completely discounted it now.

I don't know about that , I heard him a few times repeating his 'considered opinion' . I can only assume he wasn't pressganged into the interviews or had them conducted with a gun to his head so he certainly carries a fair share of responsibility .

If not for the number of interviews then at least the smug self-righteous ' I know more than you & Martinez because I live on the continent and can pronounce the names slowly and deliberately with the right accent ' attitude .

Allowing for the rivalry between Brasil and Argentina at all levels he obviously sees River in the Copa Libertaores and Sudamericana it's simply too much to be an expert on both leagues.
So Vickerys view of Argentina fútbol is very much a Brasilian one and open to both that countries and England's prejudices.We are all open to such things unfortunately it's a real learning curve for me to read some of the posts
Vickerys favourite Alvarez Balanta has stepped into Ramiros position at River. He declared that he would be the best South American defender since Passarella but unfortunately for River so far he has not played well.
