He's our most physical defender in the absence of Jagielka. Done good stuff like clearing his lines unceremoniously when required and got his body in the way of forwards attacking the area.

I think his distribution mistakes came about by trying to play first time passes with the ball coming to him (rather than being dead at his feet when playing it) into midfield. The control isn't there when that happens. Needs to take a touch, kill the pace and then pass.

He seems to be what you'd expect considering his experience so far.
A couple of things he's done that are worrying but plenty that looks promising. All down now to whether with confidence and games he turns into a stalwart of this side or a valuable back up.

I don't know why people are so keen to pigeon hole players immediately. The lad has come in and done ok. Not made too many costly mistakes but has looked a little bit ropey at times. We don't need to decide right away whether he's a good signing, and he doesn't have to be either amazing or awful. At the moment, i'm relatively happy with his performances, time will tell whether he has what it takes to become a top class performer.

I find him a really interesting player

He occasionally makes us look a bit flappy, but at the same time he's got a great leap on him and wins a lot of aerial balls. He's fairly quick, isn't afraid to make old fashioned Row Z clearances, has a real drive and winning mentality and being left footed gives us a nice balance. His choice of pass out from the back is erratic - sometimes great, sometimes daft.

He's also a big threat from attacking set pieces, which we've lacked in recent years.

He's by no means perfect just yet but the positives outweigh the minuses for me - in fact I'd go as far as to say that I think he would be keeping Jags out of the side in my team if Jags were fit currently, that balance he brings makes us a better team, even if we lack Jags' experience as a result

That is definitely right. I was lip reading Baines and he walked up to Osman and mouthed 'Vickery was correct about Mori, his distribution leaves a lot to be desired, I also feel there is a mistake in him, and better opponents than these are going to target him as a weak link. He needs to work on this combination with Stones, as our whole back line looks vulnerable compared to most of the teams we have played in over the years. I can't wait to have Jags back'

He may have just had some phlegm in his throat, mind.

haha look at colemans face though hes like 'i knowwwww'

I like Mori, think he will be a good player for us! Lots of lads start off dodgy, the likes of Dave Watson, Fellaini even Jags, were all a bit ropey when they started with us!
