I read the criticism of Ramiro performance on Saturday so got to see a stream of today's game.He wasn't at his best certainly but he along with the other defenders covered well. His loss of possession was poor but no worse than Stones or Coleman. But
any day when you give away very few chances and 0 goals in a quarter final is surely good for your defence.
I have no doubt he will do very well for Everton remember unlike all the other players as well there has been no preseason straight from Copa Libertadores and Suruga Bank to England

He needs to be given time, it's a big step up playing a championship side compared to the backward league in Argentina.

The boy will come good, just a shame he doesn't have the heart of a Brazilian.

Im sure some of yous want certain players to fail so you can bish like schoolgirls.

Was perfectly fine again, a bit sloppy with his passing first half but got a grip of it by the 2nd, solid defensively aswell

Budding Tim Vickery's who don't know zip mate. The lad is a great defender who has adapted to the conditions and will only get better.

Absolutely correct the lack of talent in our league in comparison to others is of course noteworthy over the past fifty years.Of course there is one thing I can't agree on Brasilians don't have hearts or huevos

Yeah did make a few errors but i can take that in a game that we keep a clean sheet in, every player on the park will make a mistake over 90 minutes. Football is a learning curve for young players, those small mistakes that don't cost you, when reviewed on the video are important when it comes to understanding the game.
Played nine times, haven't lost any of them, good stuff.

Wow I think to add to those nine are Three with Argentina the last five Libertadores with River, his last five league matches with us and the Copa Suruga Bank which makes Ramiro unbeaten in his last twenty three competitive matches. Not bad.

I have noticed a lack of communication between stones and morI or I am missing something. Also I lipreaded baines to coleman 'stones and funes mori have got to work as a pair' during the celebrations. But I'm that not 100%

Think both defenders are making it hard for themselves it seems, maybe they still getting used to each other

I thought he was superb defensively l night but passing let him down.

He covers superbly well.
Isn't it refreshing to see a predominantly left footed defender not be afraid to use his right too.

If you watch the Del goal from the camera behind, Stones turns and runs at Mori to celebrate. He can actually claim an assist for that goal ( Mori ) as he stabbed the ball forward.

Communication will come in time. He's still learning ( as is Stones ) so I don't think either covered themselves in glory last night but we kept a clean sheet and got the win.

That is definitely right. I was lip reading Baines and he walked up to Osman and mouthed 'Vickery was correct about Mori, his distribution leaves a lot to be desired, I also feel there is a mistake in him, and better opponents than these are going to target him as a weak link. He needs to work on this combination with Stones, as our whole back line looks vulnerable compared to most of the teams we have played in over the years. I can't wait to have Jags back'

He may have just had some phlegm in his throat, mind.
