Ramiro Funes Mori has shrugged off rumours of a move to Barcelona, saying it is only proof he is playing well at Everton.

“Chelsea and Barcelona are rumours. When they arise, it’s because you’re playing well. When I was at River, there was a rumour that Everton wanted me and it happened,” he said.

“I’m enjoying life. Being here isn’t easy, being far from family and adapting to another way of life. I try to do my best for Everton, they gave me the confidence to play in Europe. (The Premier League) is fast and demanding, the pitches here are very quick.”

Well maybe but plenty take the payrise and act like they don't need to earn it or show the fans that they care.
I'm sure he'd have been the same at most clubs but I think it'll take a lot to get him to leave

For all of his flaws Alcaraz was uncanny with his ability to win headers on set pieces.

This lad is growing on me, when you look at what Otamendi cost, we got good value here - he is growing into the PL and has his best ahead of him.
