Calm
Just general impression I get.
Also,
Not sure 'thick' is the word i'd use.

Also,
I'm similar. I partly love him. He puts everything into it, but you can see his limits. I reckon he has it in him to learn though so will definitely get better and better.
I'm still not convinced he's a good 'footballer' if that makes sense. A good defender (not perfect!) but not great at the simpler football things.
I love how he'll just pump it into the stands sometimes
No messing about
Yet he can be equally as frustrating when he can't hit a simple pass.
He's just inconsistent I think. Has a knack of being in good positions from set-pieces which is top, and he properly 'gets' Everton.
I like him and think he will improve under Koeman, but he's rightly not first choice as it stands.
Has 3 or 4 mistakes in him every game, but the mistakes are to do with his football abilities rather than mental lapses that can be fixed over timeThis is exactly what I saw in his performance on monday night.
Minute 90 he gets ahead of the attacker and shields the ball to let it go out for a goal kick.
Pitch is very sticky and quickly realises it aint gonna go so he turns around to play it. No sin so far.
He then attempts a short pass, i think to Biglia, that goes straight to unmarked venezuelan striker, still inside the box.
Venezielan striker miscontrols, more out of the sheer shock of the utter ineptitude he had just witnessed. Chance passes.
That was just the highlight of a litany of poor passes.
As a River shpporting friend of mine said to me... Funes Mori is a great inspiration to the kids. You now dont have to be good at football to get on the argentine national team.

Won't you mention how he annulled Rondon throughout the game (who switched to Otamendi's zone and there created VZL's second goal) or all the key tackles he made because of constant poor positioning by Rojo/Otamendi?
And I bet your last sentence is as real as some guy's "injury" in your last derby.
Curious one is Ramiro. No idea how someone can be so good at attacking headers and so useless at defensive ones. Like him but he definitely needs to kick on, the way Rondon for example got the better of him can't be allowed to happen.
