When I say gone, I mean he won't be first choice in his position next season, he's too ropey and we've been linked to too many CB's for it to be coincidence. Why will he be gone? People have been saying the same about McCarthy for ages and he's still here. Koeman has gradually got rid of players who have no future here, or started to phase out some of the older players from the starting 11 like Jagielka and Barry.
The top clubs in particular need strong squads and if we want to challenge in Europe as well as the league over the next few seasons, we will need a big squad. Holgate is still young and learning the game, and Williams maybe has a season left in him after this one. We aren't in the position to bring in 10 top players in one window so I don't see how Mori will be gone in the summer.
It'll be interesting to see what Koeman does with the defence next week. He may just instruct Mori not to try and play out against a team with a midfield that can punish you.
I'd be happy with that.Three at the back, I think.

Honestly, I'd drop him for Pennington at this point, despite the fact that he wasn't awful at the weekend. I just always tense up and worry when he's playing in a back two. In a back three I'm not as worried, but if we're playing two then I'd prefer Holgate or Penno to start alongside Williams
I really think Spurs will batter him on Sunday, like absolutely annihilate him, and he doesn't deserve that, nor the pelters he'll get afterwards. Take him out of the firing line for a bit and give one of Holgate or Penno more minutes in preparation for next season

Mate putting either of those 2 against Kane inst really fair with the lack of experience. He is better than either of them. I like Holgate but if RK was going to try him next to Williams it would have been on Saturday. I thought he played well on Saturday admittedly against limited opponents.
You're right mate, and it's just those little errors that make him a problem. Some people seemingly don't class something as a mistake unless they see the defender lose his man the split second before a goal or commit to a challenge and leave someone clean through on goal, but those daft mistakes can be just as costly. It's more luck than judgement that we got away with them on Saturday, and you can't imagine the teams we have coming in the next few weeks being as charitable as Sunderland and Middlesbrough have been. He'll be a good squad player to have but I think we need better to take his place in the team full time. Every game he makes me nervous. There was a point in the first half down in the right channel where he was favourite to get the ball and he only had to keep on running toward the ball and take it and then put it down the channel and yet he stopped and stuttered his run and it allowed I think Januzaj or Borini to nick it and win a corner from him.
Then second half he pissed about with the ball at left wing, holding and holding on to the ball and played a shocking pass into Schneiderlin and Sunderland nicked it and broke and Defoe nearly scored.
And then another time in second half on the edge of our box to the left, he raced in to Nick the ball off of a Sunderland player and they turned him easily and if it wasn't for Gueye being in the right place at the right time to clear our lines then we'd of been in trouble again.
I do like the lad and thing he has something to offer but I would like us to go out and get a more accomplished CB to come in and partner Williams full time!
