Nearly cost us with that dalliance on the left wing that eventually led to the Defoe chance

Absolute dog's breakfast of a player

To be honest, I don't think he's an especially awful player, I'm just not sure this is the right League for him

If he was playing in Spain or Italy I think he'd do really well

The English and German Leagues are overall quicker and much less forgiving. In a League where the pace was a bit slower I think he'd adjust much better

Playing in Holland and Scotland prepared a player like Van Dijk more for the English League than the Argentinian one did for Funes Mori, which is why ultimately he's found it easier to adapt to the "hustle and bustle" of the League's play whereas Funes Mori has found it more of a struggle, despite having talent

You're right mate, and it's just those little errors that make him a problem. Some people seemingly don't class something as a mistake unless they see the defender lose his man the split second before a goal or commit to a challenge and leave someone clean through on goal, but those daft mistakes can be just as costly. It's more luck than judgement that we got away with them on Saturday, and you can't imagine the teams we have coming in the next few weeks being as charitable as Sunderland and Middlesbrough have been.

I don't dislike the lad, I think he's a decent player but I think we can find better out there to play at the back for us who will make us more solid.

He just makes me a little nervous when watching us as you can sense errors in him, either on the ball or off it.

The whole thing of people having a go about the defoe chance has been doing my nut in. He was up for a corner that was taken horrifically. He had a good game, and some people just don't like him. If the ball is in front of him, he's sound, just that he's slow to balls slipped in. He could learn, until we get a better player in, he's been one of our best defenders.

...I think it was a free kick that Mirallas hit carelessly long. It was a dreadful ball in just when we needed to make pressure tell.

It probs was. Either way he was up there for a reason. Though him and Williams have a tendency to wander into midfield and lose it, Mori more so. Just didn't think he deserved the slating he got :)

..he was, Matey. It wouldn't have been too bad had the ball gone out of play but it went beyond everybody and allowed them to break with our players upfield. I found it really annoying at the time and I'm sure RK thought the same.

Also he is playing as Jagielka has dropped off the edge of a cliff in the past 10-14 months. It's no surprise to me that Keane, VVD, Kone and others have been repeatedly linked.

The reality is we will probably get around 20m for him from Spain.

I think he is ok but want a top class centre half in to accommodate Williams and the development of Holgate and Pennington.

If he is happy to be third or fourth choice happy for him to stay but doubt he will and he is appealing to a number of clubs notably in Spain.

I thought at the time and watching replays Mori should have just wellied it out for a throw and allowed us to reset. That was a big part of Martinez issues. Sometimes trying to keep playing it cute when you know you and half the team are out of position, and you are being pressed is far too dangerous. Playing a blind 50/50 ball into midfield was stupid. Then not having the legs to get back.

Just amplifies the original error that found Mori with the ball in the first place.

Quite a lot of people bang on about Mori and for that matter Robles being accident prone but the clean sheets and
the stats speak louder.

Both players have barely put a foot wrong all season while Lloris has had a couple of mares and as for the Soton first goal in the final that De Gea let in through his legs if Robles had conceded that one the critics on here would be having a field day. The City goalies have been crap and as for LFC we can agree that they too are crap.

Robles has never moaned even when unfairly treated, he has grown in stature, and at the moment there is no better keeper in the Premier. He should be given a brilliant new contract together with Lukaku and we should build our team around them; Mori should equally be part of the furniture next season despite signing Keane or whoever.

He's legit terrible. That said, he is the worst passer in the team yet we use him as a footballing version of a quarterback for no apparent reason. It's an act of self-harm.

Needs binning off in the summer.
