I've come to the conclusion that he's not good enough and that we should tout him around the Spanish league in the summer. I think we could even make money on him, which is good because he should never be starting games for us.

I don't think he's actively bad, I just think he's all wrong for the English League

I've always got the impression from watching him that he likes to think through what he's doing, and in the high paced game of the Premier League that isn't always possible

In a slower League such as Spain or Italy, he'd be much more comfortable and I reckon he'd forge a very good career for himself

He's by no means the worst Everton player I've ever seen, heck he isn't even the worst Everton player to play for us in this decade, but I do think it's time for him to move on in the summer. At the end of the day, we should have signed Van Dijk, but you live and learn with these things and it's not as if he was a nobody plucked from obscurity. He played for a big club in Argentina and had international caps. Sometimes moves don't work out, and this is one of them. He's given his all for that shirt and I respect that, but it's time to wish him well and get him a move I think

I think it's more because he doesn't have the time to pick a pass or make a decision

The "hustle and bustle" of the League just doesn't suit him IMO

The game that worries the life out of me is the Derby when they will press him and he'll have 3 nippy forwards to contend with, he's a real weak link at the moment.

he's pretty woeful with his distribution but do you know what, he gets put in the crap a lot because Baines always passes back to him and he's never got an out ball back to anyone. Williams has stopped hoofing it the past 2 games and instead passing it onto Mori so there's obviously some kind of instruction for him to slice, splice, dice, kick or hoof it somewhere into the unknown.

Not the worst back up option and I love his passion but long term we need 2 new starting CB's. Jags should be out the door in the summer with Williams and Mori on the bench (or Holgate if Mori is let go off).

Keane and Van Dijk would be the ideal 2 although I think both need to play alongside an experienced defender so most likely will be one or the other (will be Keane)
