I think the biggest problem we face when Mori and Williams are in the lineup is neither of them can really play with the ball. Jagielka for all the crap he has received as of late can play with the ball at his feet. I still think Mori is a very decent bench option, but both CB positions need to be revamped towards the end of the season. Especially if we plan on playing European football.

@ianefc I still think people love to slate certain players excessively, but the past 2 games I have no problem with criticism of him. He was poor at Spurs and barely did a thing right today. Certainly looked out of his depth at left back.

Wasn't great today by any stretch but he was out of position and we were cruising which is arguably his worst time as he becomes a further level of complacent.

Still like him and think he's a left footed asset for us. Europe is potentially on the way and he's been a part of a very decent defence for a while now this season on the whole.

We have seen before that RK can be ruthless. We have seen with a few that there were given a chance to play but when they didn't impress they were ruthlessly chopped...Del, Cleverley, Oviedo and Jags are examples.
I think Funes Mori now falls into that category as well. We know the manager wants sign a centre half anyway, but now it may be two as Jagielka and Funes Mori may well be leaving in the summer.

If Koeman decides to keep him and he is happy to stay I am okay with one more season. He joined a club in a mess last season and is now playing under a new coach with a new defensive partner who hasn't exactly been boss himself. Not ideal circumstances.

I think its an exaggeration to say he is so bad he can't be a decent squad option.

However he has to show improvement on the field. Keeps going like he is and you would imagine him and Williams would be doing well to start many important games next season.
