He may not be the greatest defender we’ve ever seen, but at least he gives a damn. That of course overflows at time into recklessness / stupidity (that derby for example) but you can’t fault his commitment. He’s also quicker than Williams, Jags (now) and oil tanker Keane as well as being a better passer than all three (perhaps Jags is slightly better with the long ball?) so I would genuinely have him and Holgate as our starting pair.

This is a case of absence makes the heart grow fonder

Think he's arguably the worst central defender we have from a defensive point of view, but then we don't have a single centre back who can be happy with their performances this season, so in that sense he deserves a game or two I guess

He at least is a genuine threat in the opposition box

There's absolutely nowt wrong with that combo. It's balanced & has promise based on their styles of play.

One is a 21 year old kid with little experience and the other is bang average and a mistake waiting to happen.

Suicidal combo, at this point in time.

Ones been by far our best CB this season and the other has the least amount of errors leading to goals out of all our cbs over the past couple of seasons.

But yeno, let's ignore that and stick with the old donkeys that have cost us dozens of goals this season :coffee:

Maybe cos he’s played half as much football as them?

You can throw all the stats you want but Mori is not and will never be the answer.

OS really scraping the barrel with this here:
The 19-times capped international admits he’s also got his sights set on a place in Argentina’s World Cup squad, but emphasised that forcing his way into the Everton team is his main priority.

He’ll be battling for a first-team spot with the likes of Michael Keane, skipper Phil Jagielka, Ashley Williams and Mason Holgate, who have all contributed to the side’s improved resilience under Allardyce.
Hahahahaha!
