1. Southall
Joint Second; Pickford/Martyn
3. Howard
Pickford will take that second place eventually, to me, right now, he is first among equals, but Big Nev was/is in a league of his own.
Southall was in goal what Dean was up front, fully deserving a statue of his own!*
*A statue, that if ever commissioned, should be of the big fella' sitting by his goalpost in protest, an image that lives on long in my memory.

The question isn't best though is it mate.

Otherwise Ted Sagar would be in there too.

Or I'd just link to this.
West in goal for us two titles, one FA CUP winning medals Only 2nd to Big Nev in Honours - I noted you only put 4 keepers up of the modern era - West was 2nd to the great Gordon Banks - he also won England caps just worth a mention IMO .....they happened to be one of two keepers with Big Nev who kept goal when we won things too ......

It's to rate a selection of 4 goalkeepers from the last 3 decades by ability.

Nigel Martyn will always be a ‘what could have been’ for us. Great for us at the tail end of his career but all the more mystifying that Peter Johnson and Joe Royle managed to let him slip through and go and spend his prime years at Leeds.
Is there any truth in the story that Johnson kept Martyn and his agent waiting at his hamper factory to discuss his transfer?
