RB Leipzig

RBL Matchday

It's back to cup action today and an away fixture in the 2nd Round against Babelsberg. Rotated side and an obvious must win game for the club and for Marsch who was apparently on his last chance if they didn't beat Furth at the weekend (were losing at half time). Good chance for someone like Silva to bag and get his confidence going. Another chance for Henrichs to try show he's good enough for the club (he isn't).

Leipzig v Everton, who wins Nymz? Also who makes a combined 11 and subs?

Oo interesting. In terms of squad quality there's no real competition at all and it's RB all the way. If they had a match fully fit this season though? I think I'd maybe give Everton the edge just because Marsch can't set them up to defend at all.

Erm I'll go 4-2-3-1 as both teams have used it a few times this season.

GK: Gulacsi - Just far more stable than Pickford and decent with the ball.

CB: Mina
CB: Orban/Gvardiol - The former the best defender, the latter a monster and good on the ball. Either works.
LB: Digne - I don't really think he's that good anymore but Angelino isn't either.
RB: Klostermann - None of the RB's at both clubs are any good but least this one is fast and can defend.

CM: Laimer - Kinda felt harsh on Allan and Doucs but one hasn't got the legs and the other can be a headless chicken at times. Tough call.
CM: Haidara - Every team needs a player like this.
CAM: Olmo - Just flat out better than Gray.
LM: Nkunku - Tough choice but think he's just a better player than Richy.
RM: Szoboszlai - Townsend has been decent but no contest here.

ST: DCL - No contest. My king.

Subs:

Pickford
Orban/Gvardiol
Angelino

Doucs
Allan

Forsberg
Gray
Richy

Silva

They really have nailed their recruitment and put together a solid outfit.

Just need to get the manager to stop Martinez'ing things. Few holes left in the squad but getting there.

Looks like theyre slightly off the pace this season, but still in the mix. Has Marsch been any good? Reading he has change tactics reverting to countering.

Why would they change the system when they sort of share philosophies across the RB teams, or were they forced to accept it once Nagelsmann left?
