Not necessarily. Sheikh Mansour and Abramovich bought City and Chelsea to mainly boost their reputation in the West. Sportswashing I think the term is.
Possibly so, not sure Dietrich Mateschitz quite has that worry though.

Not broken but questionable because of the 50+1 rule. There aren't any rules being broken and as far as company's go they're ran extremely well. I know we all love tradition but rich people buy footie clubs as businesses and nothing more - that's why I'm so surprised Mosh keeps giving us his dosh.
Mateschitz and his Bundesliga club RB Leipzig faced backlash in 2017 over comments made in a Kleine Zeitung interview, in which he suggested that Austria should close its borders to refugees and expressed support for Donald Trump and other populist positions.Possibly so, not sure Dietrich Mateschitz quite has that worry though.

They go through with it, obviously, but instead of thousands of fans owning shares it's split between 30 (IIRC?) Red Bull directors, which makes people a bit upset.
But ran very well as a business, however, and they seem to not be very arsed about the backlash so...
But TSG are by Hopp, who owns/started up SAP - an IT solutions and databases company (simplified but you know), which makes them less... evil...? lolYeh it’s certainly not traditional in that sense but like you say, no rules broken. Everyone spends more time in Germany hating them than worrying about their own club. They just secure more than €30m for securing CL placement and they’ll skip to the bank waving at all the outraged traditional fans.
The funny ones are fans of teams like Hoffenheim who were built the same way.

They're ran well regardless of that and are much more stable, credit to them.
Youngster Tom Krauss loaned with safety obligation to Schalke. Plays in a position that desperately needs strengthening. Start of a very odd Summer in Leipzig - many not happy with all the rumours going round.
Make or break for him this year then, even if it is weird - realistically if he does okay for Schalke he'd be around the first team next year; if he's crap - you know, he can gtfo. He's only played in BuLi2 so this is a step up in every way - even more so that Schalke are not expected to be very high up as well.
Who do Leipzig have lined up in the rumours mate?
The loan is quite strange: if they get relegated he comes back, if they stay up they cough up €3m for him. He's a regular Germany U21 international and has 2 seasons experience in the 2nd division. Honestly quite baffled they're letting him go but there are rumours both Jakel and Martel, also promising German youth players, will also be sold. Mintzlaff (CEO) has constantly complained about the lack of talent coming through the academy but yet they're binning off those definitely useful in the squad next season. Even as an outside fan like myself it's quite disheartening.
Pretty much all the rumours are around central midfield as currently it is Laimer, Kampl, Haidara, Adams & Moriba with Kampl being poor this season and the other 4 all up for sale/going to be sold. Hence the above move makes no sense whatsoever to me. The manager wants a trim squad next season, which is fine, but it needs a major upgrade in several areas and Dortmund are already becoming light years ahead with their moves this window. It's mostly talk of "we want a 6 but need to sell" which is something fun to point at those saying they buy the league.
Honestly, it's a bit of a depressing window so far and they haven't even announced the sporting director yet.
I made a list, because I'm me, of all the links and am slowly crossing out those moving elsewhere:
Sheet's not public tho, just so you know.
Interesting situation then, I obviously didn't know half of it lol
It is weird they'd give him away then but he's hardly worldbeating at this point of his career - yeah he might kick on, but chances are he might not. We'll see how the BuLi goes for him with Schalke, I suppose!
Also if they truly need a 6 and unless he has some Anthony Gordon like upside that takes a day to come out - he's probably not the answer and they're waiting to sell so they can buy.
Yeah, it works now.Does the table/link thing work now?
Oh yeh, I'm not expecting him to be amazing, but he's certainly good enough as cover and he offers something the others don't. They've been heavily linked with West Ham's Alex Kral, who Tedesco had in Moscow, as they want a phyiscal 6. Frankly they need to sign like 2 of them, 2 full-backs and a striker. Desperate for some speed up top.
Also, Nkunku is staying.
Yeah, it works now.
Considering the season they had it's surprising to me that they need that many players, but in the few games I've seen there was always something lacking for some reason. Like the players are quality and all, but just underperform, especially at home bizarrely.
Are you sure about that or is it just what they've said? Because these things change very quickly so...
