RB Leipzig

Bit disappointed with all the dropping down to be honest - any contact in the box and it's just playing for a pen lol

What an incredibly limited team - hopefully a lesson learned for next year (and the year after?) that you can't do it in the BuLi with some decent BuLi2 players. Shocking recruitment as well to actually buy some of those in the summer, when you're already in the Bundesliga.

German Everton, that.

They did a Norwich City.

4-2 FT

RBL finish the season in 3rd, only 5 points off top, which annoys all the more, the title was there for the taking if Rose was in from the Summer.

Goodbye Schalke too and hello, for about 5 minutes, Tom Krauss.

Really missed him today - midfield was absolutely nonexistent for big parts of it, he retains the ball so well.

Congrats to Nkunku for the top goalscorer award though.

Dani Olmo looks to be signing the ol' RB special of a new contract with reasonable release clause that will be active from 2024. With Nkunku and Laimer leaving it was important to try not collapse completely but there's still a strong chance Szobo and/or Gvardiol could go for some insane fees.

Also Angelino is returning from his Hoffenheim loan but available for €20m. The were rumours he might be used as a makeweight to get Baumgartner but Angelino doesn't want to move to Hoff perm so that's off.

RBL Transfer News

Well well well, looks like big news Thursday's in East Germany!

Firstly Olmo's new deal has been announced (with a reported €60m release clause available next Summer)

And then hot off the press rumours of an imminent 3rd signing this Summer in Hoff's Christoph Baumgartner! Lovely player but he's an attacking mid and kinda don't see where he plays unless Szobo is off? It's a large fee anyway for a rotation player.

Yeh he's been fined recently for his comments. Getting too disrespectful footie players these days. Love him to bits but if he doesn't want to be here take the 70m and run.
70m is fair, even a large imho, sum for him, so it'd be good business. Especially if he doesn't want to stay obviously.

What were his comments exactly, I didn't see that?
