RBL Transfer News
Been a wee while so thought I'd wrap up all the latest energy drink transfer nonsense going on this Summer, so...
- So Laimer's 8-year dragged out super secret transfer to Bayern on a free was finally confirmed.
- Dani Olmo signed a new deal but with a fair release clause active from next Summer when he'll be off.
- Still waiting on Nkunku's Chelsea deal to be announced; unsure on the hold up there, maybe waiting till after the internationals to do so. Or he's backed out with Chelsea finishing 12th.
- Szoboszlai been getting a little too mouthy about a move this Summer so has been fined by the club and could still be shipped off but it's gonna cost around £70m with his release clause - don't want to lose him this year.
- Gvardiol, also a little too open to a move, is heavily linked with a move to City this Summer but it's going to cost like £100m in the end to prize him away. If he goes the club are likely to go for Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven
- Real Sociedad have come out and said they want to keep Sorloth but the price set in the loan is probably too high. Can still see him going there for a reduced price just to get him off the books unless Rose fancies him.
- Some squad players also linked with moves away: Klostermann, Halstenberg, Poulsen.
- The returning loanees likely also will be sold on: Krauss, Angelino, Moriba, Jakel etc.
- Silva is also for sale but news emerged that his muscle injury end of the season was more severe than realised so he's out till around September and no one is buying that.
- RBL signed Leopold Zingerle as new 3rd choice keeper with Nyland leaving.
- Pre-signed duo Nicolas Seiwald and Benjamin Sesko have arrived.
- The club look to have secured the signing of Christoph Baumgartner but are waiting for the end of the Euro games to wrap it up.
- Despite personal terms being agreed long ago with Lois Openda the clubs still remain far off on the transfer fee. RBL offered around 30m but Lens want 45m. They'll either back down and meet closer to 30m or Leipzig will walk away as they don't overspend.
- Strong rumour that Marcus Thuram is a target on a free but it seems his entourage are asking for silly numbers so likely will put them off going ahead with it.
- Still tied to Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho on either a loan or loan with buyback/sell on etc. to add to the wider areas.
- Club are said to have had a bid knocked back for Frankfurt's Jesper Lindstrom and likely won't go back for him due to the high asking price.
- A loan with option has apparently been sent to United for Elanga. I don't really like the look of him though. Same deal also sent to City for Cole Palmer.
- Whilst the link has died down over the last couple of weeks it was revealed that Fener's Arda Guler has a disgustingly low release clause so hopefully that is fired up again.
- Scarily zero links to a single full-back on either side yet.
Quite a busy start to June but hopefully see some actual incomings before they return to training.
