RB Leipzig

It really is a weird buy if they had no intention of using him. It makes me think that the new manager wasn’t as crazy about him as the old one and the owner still wanted to bring him in the door for old times sake.

I don’t think anyone has cottoned on to the fact that maybe he’s just not currently as good as the other attackers in the team but it’s a squad game, he’s 21 & they’re hoping they can turn his potential into form.

Not every signing needs to go straight into the starting XI (hello Moise Kean).

I still think it’s a weird buy for that price but to each their own.

@Nymzee apparently Upamecano €53mil release clause kicks in next summer as per l'equipe.
It feels like maybe instead of watching RBL sign all these decent CB prospects and then paying over the odds to bring one here we could skip the RBL stuff and steal their philosophy and find the young CBs on our own. Not saying I wouldn't like Upamecano, Mukiele or Konate but it seems like this isn't a strategy only RBL can pull off.

Today's game is an away trip to a strong Leverkusen side,
14:30pm kick-off.

Coming off the back of two defeats (1 league, 1 CL) they really need to pick it up but I'm going for a home win today.
