Refused to talk about the last year at Everton saying he's here now and only wants to look forwards.

Said he was doing German 3-4 times per week during his loan but hasn't for the past year which I find strange.

Living alone when he finds an apartment (presumed he'd have looked for one a while back) for a few months but family/friends pop over after. Didn't seem to suggest anyone would be moving over there with him.

All in all he's a very timid, shy and quite uncomfortable young lad but no shame there as I'd be crapping myself doing a presser in front of a load of Germans.

This says to me that despite everyone's certainty that he always wanted to go back he was still trying to make it at Evertonast season. Same with the not buying an apartment thing.

Maybe. Lot of smoke last summer to though. I think he probably knew they were an option but it doesn't really matter too much now. How's he done today?

Not too bad, in and out. Had a strong run through the middle early on, overdid it a couple of times and now he’s playing wide right which really isn’t gonna be an option this season.

Good run out, lots of players used, looked much better with 3 at the back than 4, Nkunku had a great game and the academy lads looked decent. Lookman and Ampadu got ~70 mins each.
