What's everybodys travel plans for this then?

We've gone the long winded way.

Wednesday 18th night travel down to Bristol
Fly out at 07:50 on the Thursday morning to Geneva then get the train down to Bern for about midday.
Have a great time in Bern, the match and what follows

Then friday morning we get the TGV train from Bern to Paris
Change in Paris for Eurostar to London then back up to Liverpool.
All train tickets cost about £180 including travel to Bristol and the flight was £27

Drive to Newcastle, on 11am flight to Geneva, 2hr train to Bern, arrive a couple of hours before KO.
Train back to Bern on Friday in time for 2pm flight back to Newcastle.
Not got much time in Bern pre-match, but got some good flight times and an overnight stay for less than £200

Wed Luton to Basel about noon.
- stay in Basel wed ngt, might go see Basel v Porto in CL
- Train Bern thu
- fly back Fri arrive bout 3pm. Then 3hr drive back up north

Is it better to buy Train tickets now ?

Depends if you're talking about in the UK or in Switzerland, as swiss trains arent on sale.... yet.

Manchester to Geneva Wed morning.
Train to Bern. Two nights there.
Friday morning train to Geneva.
Friday night in Geneva.
Flight back to Manchester Saturday morning.

Wen are swiss trains on sale

As a swiss citizen, I have never ever "booked" a train. There are (expect some international trains) no seatreservations either. You just go to the station, buy a ticket (either at the counter or ticketmachine) and jump on any train. There is only one train-company, one pricing and trains run very frequently (every 30min between main-cities, but at least every hour).

There might so some special arrangements, if you combine it with tickets from Paris/London etc. but for domestic travel it's supersimple and easy.

I think what we're all looking at is the 'Supersaver' tickets, they're 20chf, instead of 40chf
