No official's going to give a pen that's got the possibility of deciding the title race between the big two, they're cowards. This isn't really true though, it is possible on jostling like that to say it isn't enough to be a foul but it isn't simulation really either.

Referees are corrupt. There's no argument. We've had it for so long it's untrue.
Roll back to the City game. The late winner v Man Utd. Roll back years and years. The Don Huch goal and Big Dunc (slap head ref) are just samples. Some never got over the semi final in 77. I remember Wayne Clarke scoring a legitimate goal v the RS away. LFC, Man U and Man City get away with it.
