I regret being kicked out of a “Bottomless Brunch” at my local Pizza place, for a (now obvious when I think about it) dress code mix-up.

A friend of mine and her girlfriend (now fiancee) were like this for ages - we're in a backwards country here so two lesbians had to be "oh we're just great friends we'll share a room no problem" at the family gatherings for a while lol

They recently had to come out to the older folk separately, for obvious reasons, and it was an "oh. Well okay" and no one cared.

When she came out to her parents ages ago they were like "yeah we know, wtf?" lol

Yeah, it's funny. I know a few folk a bit like that and they built things up a lot in their own minds... only for the reaction to be "yeah, we knew, you think we're daft? lol. Cool" or "OK, sound, be happy".

That probably sounds more dismissive than I mean it to be - it is a risk for people and stressful. Its good we can all laugh about it now.
