Always difficult explaining why I waited so long. Maybe family life? Maybe confused feeling something for both sexes.
But so much has changed in recent times with more understanding and positive attitudes towards the gay community. Even 15 years ago being a gay man seemed an impossible path to take especially for those who immerse themselves in sports, sadly seen with no openly gay footballers in the prem or elite male athletes in general
hopefully that barrier will be broken soon and them athletes won't living with the same burden of regret.
