I was even more an argumentative get when I was younger than I am now. Had a massive argument with one of my best friends, about the most inconsequential of matters, and stormed off. Refused to go to the pub the following week ; that night he slammed into a lamp post on his motorbike and he was killed instantly. Think of that occasionally when I'm being a [Poor language removed].

Well, that's put a downer on this thread. :lol:

Massive regret, in another life I would have had the wisdom to know if she wanted to end it she would end it.

I have a fairly similar regret to this but it was more me being an arse and having no idea of it at all at the time. One of the only things I regret really, and that regret didn't come for over 10 years later.
 
I have possibly told this story before, given my memory, details are hazy, so if ive told it before, it might not be the same.

But.

Many years ago when I was 16, I managed to snag a "date" with some older woman, she was 21.

The date involved having a snog on the couch, it got a bit hot and heavy and she said "I want to, but not here", for some reason it just killed the mood, I thought she wasnt that interested and after an awkward few minutes I made my exit and left. She was mates with my mates g/f, needless to say I didnt get another chance cos "I suggested we should move upstairs to the bedroom and he got all weird and left".

Still haunts me to this day, she was BANG tidy.
 

….no ambition to be a footballer but signing for Liverpool is a regret given the clubs that were apparently after me. RS were first to make serious contact, turning up at my school one day and getting my Dad from work on the Docks.

I genuinely disliked 3-4 years I spent there & just stopped turning up, they weren’t bothered either. Weird training regime.

Absolutely no regrets when it comes to major relationship, vocational and financial decisions.

When I was doing my A levels and going to university I picked subjects I thought would be easiest to apply to jobs when I finished, rather than things I was actually interested in doing.

It made those courses a real slog and the jobs I have had I largely find tedious and boring.
