Relegated Players You'd Want

I thought Dembele at Fulham (Moussa not Mousa) showed promise when he played against us. Would be a good one for the future maybe.
I would have said get Ruddy back for cover for Howard and to be a possible successor, but Ideally I'd want that to be Begovic.
Cardiff have no-one who'd improve our squad IMO.

Looks a prospect. Still only 17, too. Caused us a bit of trouble.

Redmond has a bit of skill but looks more like someone destined to earn a lot of money not playing for Spurs or Newcastle. Maybe Sunderland. The likes of Fer and Caulker would probably command a bigger fee than they'd ultimately be worth to our squad.

Don't think there's great pickings this year. Aside from, of course, Duff, Sidwell, Heitinga, and Rodellega - the dream team.

Hmmm, maybe one or 2 of the younger lads from Norwich or Fulham. Both teams have had excellent youth success recently so there must be a couple who could do a job.

Not relegated but that Dwight Gayle has impressed me these last 2 games. I know nothing much about him but his movement and poaching skills in the box are impressive and he appears to have a knack of scoring against the shower.

id take -

stekelenburg - fulham
stockdale - fulham
burn - fulham
dembele - fulham
mitroglou - fulham ( loan )

marshall - cardiff
mutch - cardiff

ruddy - norwich
redmond - norwich
fer - norwich
snodgrass - norwich
van wolfswinkel - norwich ( loan )
hooper - norwich ( loan )

id take either mitroglou, van wolfswinkel or hooper but only on loan. all scored goals in other leagues, could do well for us surrounded by better players IMO with very little financial risk.

some good squad players in there, none really that would be guaranteed first team starters but wouldn't break the bank and they know the premier league.

Can we include players who were relegated last season?

We were linked with Callum McManaman at Wigan last summer and I would like to see us in for him again, I think he is a good player and would add depth to the squad. Below is the story from last year linking us with a £10m bid

I also read a story that Loic Remy who is on loan at Newcastle from QPR will be available this summer, if QPR are not promoted through the playoffs, there are reports that he has a buy out clause reported to be between £7m and £10m (by different sources) I think he could do well for us.

From the teams this season, I don't think there are many who would get in our first team, I imagine we will be linked with Hugo Rodallega from Fulham, as Martinez managed him at Wigan. I think he was good at Wigan, but hasn't done as well at Fulham

I think Kasami from Fulham is good and could be a good back up for Barkley, other than that, no one jumps out from the other teams

I quite like the fella as well ....but not much support for that view on here.....

I agree, rate this lad dejagah when he has been given a chance (not many times this season TBF) and he has scored a few decent goals too. Given a decent team around he I think he could be up to it.

Whoever said Van Wolfswinkel and Hooper just note between them they scored 7 this season so its a no from me.

If we get Deulofeu back: I'd take Redmond for no more than Norwich paid (£3m IIRC) and then loan him out to a prem team, or straight back to Norwich / another promotion contender. Seriously.

RM has demonstrated this year that we have seriously under-utilized the loan market in previous seasons, both for bringing top players in and for sending out our brightest prospects to get experience of regular competitive football. Redmond fits the profile - he's only 20 years old, has some prem experience already and could be cheap.

If we want to qualify for Europe regularly, and seriously contend in Europe, then we need a spine of home-grown players not only now, but also coming through over the next few years.
