I want to see 7 points from our games, but tbh every single one of them will be close as all of our games are with no striker. Would be satisfied with 5 points as its really hard to get wins with no sustained goal threat.

I think 5 points from those games keeps us out of the relegation zone, just. If we can get 7 points I think we're just 4-5 points from being ok - 5 points from 5 games then.
Wow, good luck Forest

We got 3 points against Arsenal and Brentford so your argument is somewhat flawed. Not forgetting that we also got a draw at Chelsea. I think that I'll wait and see.
As i said, we might win some unexpected ones but then fail to win expected ones. I was talking about an average prediction of future points. Hopefully, i'm wrong (as you say, we can only wait and see), but, given that we have only one home game left against a team in the bottom half and most of our rivals have more than that (Forest and West Ham are the same as us), it's going to be close. We might need to get something from our last game v Bournemouth and i'm not sure that i trust this lot to do that.

I wouldn’t count Calvert Lewin out from every single remaining game. I’ve got no idea what’s going on with him but you’d like to think we might see him fully fit at some point. Could make a huge difference.
Calvert Lewin will never play for Everton again. We are pretty obviously getting him fit enough to sell in the summer and won’t take any risks with him.

Some good results for us last night. The last few weeks so many teams around us had one or two games in hand over us and it felt like we could be in the bottom 3 when everyone got their games in hand played. Its still very tight, but win the games against Leicester and Bournemouth and that should be enough to make sure we stay up, (as long as we keep matching them when they pick up points).

…it was terrific but he actually missed a much easier chance early in the 2nd half and was eventually substituted. He looks a talent.
Yea iv watched alot of him playing for Irish underage teams . Serious talent. Hope he stays there for few years and gets load of games under his belt

….in respect of the relegation battle, last nights results were perfect from my perspective.

I chose to watch B’mouth v Brighton. Whilst B’mouth have a conventional striker and carry some threat they are lacking in quality and very poor defensively.

Brighton play ‘pure football’, their possession stats must be top drawer. We’ll have to ride our luck against them but if we can I can see us frustrating them. They look to play from the back (as do B’mouth) in quite a risky way, not sure if Doucoure is available for that game but high press could reap dividend. Also, the keeper is very small and that could help our set pieces.

I’d never have thought it a few months ago but I go into most games thinking Dyche’s Everton have a chance of getting something. I wouldn’t write ‘Brighton Away’ off.
Agreed. I wouldn't be writing any of our games off. Collectively, they represent the opportunity for points. 9 games to get around 10 points. The more we can get before the final game, the less likely that will matter. The next three games will go a long way to showing whether we will be involved on the last day.

This is where intelligence matters. A smart player - advised smartly - will stay at Brighton for another season if the current manager stays there. There is no rush if he is good enough. But if greed and stupidity take over, he'll be on Man City's bench for the most important developmental years of his career...

I think he'll want to try and keep it tight; use set pieces - on balance I expect it to be Davies and I wouldn't be the least surprised if he doesn't have a worldie and get the winning goal. Dyche getting a tune out of everyone, why not Davies too?
Steady on.

I’m thinking Garner would come in, but play him deep alongside Gana and move Onana further forward, where Doucoure had been playing.

With some of the results tonight, Leicester, Bournemouth and Forrest losing, it’s a bonus for us, would be amazing to get a result at old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime.
I like the idea of Garner at the moment rather than the reality of him.

I'm not convinced he's up to filling the shoes of any of our CM trio.

That Doucoure suspension is going to be a tough one to bear. All of his critics are well wide of the mark - he's been the difference IMO in the Dyche time in charge...him and the switch from Tarkowski-Coady to Tarkowski-Keane.

I suspect we'll get 5. At this point, it looks very likely we'll be needing something from the last day - unless three sides get cut adrift. If we do take 5 from the next four, and Forest take, say, 2, then we might be able to stay the three clear of them before final day. Bournemouth, however, have good opportunities to gain points in the next four. That Leicester match is massive. Looking at those fixtures, I think I want Leicester to win that. They'll surely lose to City next and then have two death matches with Wolves and Leeds. Those will tell a tale for them. Whatever happens in those, there is an upside for us as those sides are taking points from each other. The next two are just as critical for Wolves.

So, five points from the next four and we're eking our way out of this situation.

As much as I'd like to see Gray be given that freedom to get back out on the wing running at the full backs , just not sure I trust he could/would do the job Iwobi has been doing with Coleman.
I even prefer Iwobi in the centre over the wing but I think we give away to much making that alteration.
Coleman will be targeted straight away by the opposition.

Iwobi does a hell of a lot of work out there keeping that system tight, to be honest he probably doesn't get the credit he deserves for it.

I'm going to hate myself for saying this but this might be a time to reintroduce Patterson again if he's fit.

Keep him away from the back four at all costs, but he may be able to slot in ahead of Coleman and offer assistance to him and get forward to join the attack.

Maybe Dyche has to have that option in mind for at least part of one of the Doucoure 2/3 games of suspension.
