I did watch it and agree both teams were rubbish. If fans of those clubs watched our games with them and then our game last night they’d probably be saying the same about us, that’s why I find the dismissive attitude odd. As I said, I think we’ve got enough to stay out of trouble but until we start to pick up in terms of getting points on the board then I don’t see it as a foregone conclusion.
I agree with this. To be honest I see very little difference between any of the teams from 8th down , except that the RS and West Ham have better striking options .

I think keeping an eye on on the relegation zone for the time being is more than reasonable with the next two difficult away matches

We’re still 30 points away from the target and could easily still get dragged in

It’s not doom mongering or sheet wetting to be wary of the threat of relegation. We’re still a poor side

Grind our way to 40 points and see where we are

We should still be focusing on safety rather than looking up. We aren't good enough to assume everything will just be fine. Equally it's also far too early to be getting unnecessarily anxious or to be worrying about other team's results.

Anything that improves on last year is a successful season - that means 15th or higher. We need to keep realistic expectations.

Still think, on early evidence, we should stay clear-ish of the bottom three. By the time the World Cup rolls around we'll have gotten several tricky fixtures out of the way, most of them away from home. If we can get to December still a few points clear despite that I'd see it as a positive personally.

I was a bit surprised that people were saying the performance against Utd was reminiscent of last season's performances. I think regardless of outcome, every match has been a big improvement over last season. The defense is so much more assured and now I can watch us defend corners without throwing up. I'm increasingly confident that the team can finish the season in the sunlit uplands of the lower-mid table.

What positions in the table are the sunlit uplands of the lower-mid table? And don’t tell me they are the positions adjacent to the shady lowlands of the upper mid-table! Seriously though, corners no longer make me sick to my stomach either, so that’s a plus.

Other way around surely? Tricky fixtures were at home.

After world cup team will have to travel to Manchester twice, scum, Chelsea, Arsenal in the re-arranged game and then the usual tricky games at likes of West Ham and Palace although who knows what form they'll be in then. Really important I think to go to Bournemouth and win that but they've done really well at home.

I think this season will largely pan out as last year now in terms of making sure team keeps ticking off the wins at home to keep a reasonable position. Not beating Man. United isn't that important in grander scheme of things, getting at least 4 points off Palace-Leicester certainly is.

Defence has undeniably improved greatly and midfield too of course...attacking though was much better last year. Never replaced our best attacking player sadly. The question is if there are enough goals in the team to stay in the Premier league.

We'll be bottom 5 after the next two games.

I dont think we'll stay there too long, but we need a striker in on the 1st of January to avoid this season becoming a nailbiter. If the club dont do that and they let this fester into a relegation season, the club deserves to go down and massive value wiped off the owner's shares.

It's as simple as that.

Watching Leicester here I think they are a real drop candidate.
The live table looks horrible for them, if they don't win this, and one or two more games played then most teams before the 3pm games get going.

On 5 points from 10 games so far is shocking, with no obvious relegation sides in the PL right now.

They need a new manager quick

Amazed how poor Palace were, lots of attackers on the pitch but they were seemingly content to play for a 0-0 from kick off.

Will be a very winnable game at home to them this time next week.
