And better than no one above us.

We don’t beat Fulham then it’s one win in 8 for Dyche. People won’t have it but we were clearly fortunate to get a point against Chelsea and Spurs otherwise it would look even worse than it already is.

A couple of games ago it was any one from 7/8 that could go down, the group has now been whittled down to 4 it seems. Let’s hope none of those below us run into Bournemouth or Leeds type form
Nope. Better than Brentford. But it’s irrelevant. We have to be better than the teams below us, which we are after a really tough run.

You can take spurs two ways , were we ‘fortunate ‘ a centre half scored a last minute worldy ? Probably .Where we fortune to go behind to a soft penalty when we were certainly the better team and had more chances than them even being a man down for much of the game ?probably not .

They've lost 4 games in a row, the guy who scores half of their goals is suspended, as is their manager. They can't make Europe, they can't go down and we're at home. They're only ever won once at Goodison in their history. If we can't win we are in big trouble.
This sounds very much like the proper "Everton that" scenario in which we lose 5:0 or something.

They are literally the club you would pick to play at the moment. If Palace beat Leeds today they would probably fall into that category as well. Every club, bar Fulham and Chelsea have something to play for.

Yes, the timing of them arriving at Goodison is fortuitous. However, we saw Villa turn up here about 6 weeks ago on a bad run and they escaped with the points.

We all know this is a key game but we could be without Coleman as well as the suspended Doucoure and we'll have to do what Dyche doesn't like doing: change the starting line up. Onana isn;lt the answer to Doucoure's absence and Patterson will be got at all day down the right flank if he starts.

This is very very lose-able.

Win or down next week really. If Leeds win today that’s 4 in 7 for them. Bournmouth and WH have picked up wins. We are creeping along getting valiant draws but our form in terms of point generation is worsening every week.

A loss would see us still probably ahead of Leicester next weekend, but for all the talk of improvements we just can’t go 2 win in 8 in such a desperate situation, that’s just not showing that we have woken up enough. I can see Leicester fluking a couple of wins despite how broken they look. I thought our new approach would see us right but it’s not making us win or really look like winning (admittedly against tough opposition in the last 3). Urgently need to prove to ourselves we can actually get a win over the line instead of praising our ability to not get battered as badly as we used to.

I do, but their season is over, they're on the beach. However, if we don't get at then we can still lose. I remember when Maja scored to beat us at Goodison they were not good but we couldn't take advantage.
The last 10 games the trend/story is usually "we couldn't take advantage" to be honest.

We should've gotten more out of the games that were draws, and we had a good few chances to, but draws are draws. Points are vital but if we'd converted 2 of those draws to wins - we'd be all but safe now.

For arguments sake, if we were somehow able to win our next 8 games and finish on 51 points, does this suddenly become a reasonable season?

I know it's all ifs and buts, but that's how close everything is at the moment
And for arguments sake if we were somehow able to win every game 10-0 we would end up PL top scorers. Are you aged under 11? What a ridiculous statement to post.

We're never beating Chelsea or man utd away so draw is one of games isn't too bad , spurs game cud have gone either so take a draw, difficult to win any 3 of these games
