Weve a real run of defining fixtures coming up mate, Palace, Fulham, Leicester, Bourmouth, Wolves.

Like it or not we’re in that slipstream of teams are competing against those teams in our league in a league, where we finish overall in that league and vice versa will not wholly but partly be defined in these run of games, we need a string points total from them.

My concern at the mo, is I’m one of those teams and I’m looking at us, I’m packing it out and keeping solid, knowing we’re struggling for goals, were we can see the weakness other clubs are goin* to set up, to exploit that.

Let’s see mind.
I think we'll be OK but you are right we need to wrack up some points in those matches.

Yes very fair mate.

But Leicester, and to a degree Wolves, Fulham etc arent very good at that.

If we can avoid defeat in those games and get a couple of wins, we will be ok.

We're not one of the worst teams but we're also not far enough away to be totally comfortable.

What concerns me is we're not particularly competitive against good teams and probably can't expect many shock results to go our way. So those games coming up are honestly must wins or we start to run out of places to get points on the board.

Now we have another level to go to where this doesn't become an issue. We seem to not be getting close so with each passing week I become less and less confident we'll find that level.

I think that's a good summary, not the worst but one of a number of teams who could go down (I make that about 10 teams).

We arent great, but one positive is we are competitive in most games. We are hot conceding 3/4 (or some teams conceding 5s and 6s in games). That gives us a chance in most games. This is especially so at Goodison.

I think it's honestly much too early to talk about running out of games. From the equivalent first 16 fixtures last season, we got 12 points. If we are above this target, we do still have enough time.

I think my concern is we're competitive but without having a clear path to winning that isn't built around having a hot day in front of goal. It's basically Burnley or Pulis competitive and less actually competitive.

It just doesn't take a big swing for it to end. We have the resources to not be doing it.

The problem is though, I'm not sure as of this moment we dont.

We were relegation fodder for most of last season. We have been without our best 2 attacking players this season, and have spent about 60m in the summer. It's not a surprise to me.

We’re losing to Fulham…. Silva will want to prove a point, for his upwardly mobile team… with goals in them too
