I might be wrong but isn’t his Villa premier league win rate about 32% , so worse than silva , Koeman and allardyce with us . It’s ok but not what I’d call impressive and if you factor Norwich in the prem he’s worse than Benitez and dyche and about level with lampard .

Re Leicester

I'm not sure a team built on fluidity, ball retention and dynamism is going to be suited to a managerial team of Smith, Shakespeare and Terry.

Thank god we seen the light with Lampard and bulleted him when we did and brought dyche in. Leicester could easily of been us if we held on to him. I dread to think who we would of ended up with if someone else swooped on dyche

Imagine if we’d appointed Dean Smith.

His last half season at Villa and career at Norwich makes pretty dismal reading , especially considering he was managing a relegated team in the championship for the second part .

Nothing to say he won’t keep Leicester up but the idea he’s a wonderful appointment seems at odds with the available data.

Surely this should be the bare minimum expected by every football manager.

You would expect so, but if you look at us for example, the last few years we have been well of the pace, Dyche is very big on fitness though and you need it for todays high pressing game.

Who knows if its a good appointment by Leicester. I have no idea.

They are in big trouble but they do have some players who could pull a couple of big performances out of the bag to get them over the line. If their players click on the day they can win games, regardless of the manager.
