The chat on here was after Chelsea, Spurs, United we could be 20th, as it is others have slid and we have held ground on the teams in 14th-16th.
The concern I would have is Wolves, West Ham and Palace look like they are too far away atm so the teams involved are reducing by the week.
This is to be expected but where before i was relying on finishing above Forest to get safe, Bournemouth have taken away that safety net and there is a good chance we will need to finish above either Leicester or Leeds to stay up.
Next game huge, if we can put 4pts daylight then it will lift confidence and GP bouncing will drag us over the line 🤞
Agree with all mate. Also we have arguably the easiest run in, Forrest, Leeds and Leicester have some terrible games ahead of them.
If we don't out point them then we can't complain. It really is in our hands now to get this done.

I don't think we've lost a league game to Fulham at home since the 60's. Hopefully that record will still be intact at the final whistle this Saturday.

We're running out of games now. Hopefully we won't pay the price for not getting rid of Lampard before the world cup.
Lost one covid season , think it might have even been Valentine’s Day so it sticks in my mind .

They’re out of form and close to the bottom be it last 10 or 6 and missing both the manager and top scorer but worryingly their wins have come away from home .

Ultimately if we don’t beat them at home , added to previously losing to other relegation rivals we could have few complaints if we end up going .

I look at that game and go 'hmm when was the last time Vardy scored?...'
Said at the weekend that he was starting his first game since January.

I know he's getting on a bit now (in footballer terms!) but why on earth wouldn't you play in the situation they're in?

Going on that basis Dave then surely Everton should not have employed SD?

Smith, JT and Shakey have the experience of successfully getting a PL club out of the mess that Leicester is in. I think you are looking through blue tinted glasses thinking that Leicester will be cut adrift.
Why?

Dyche has experience in these situations and has come through all but one of them...with an inferior squad.

When did Smith, 'JT' and 'Shakey' save any team from a relegation dog fight like this? I know Shakespeare got Leicester to safety once...but he had the recently crowned champions team do it with and from November onwards to achieve that.

I think you might need to rethink this.

That we’re not bottom after that run of games from Arsenal at home to Saturday, and we’ve only been battered once (Arsenal away) gives me real optimism. The Forrest game shows we can perform at these away 6 pointers and be disappointed to ‘only’ pick up one.
1 defeat in the past 5 games we've had.

Only Arsenal, City and Villa have done better than that in terms of less losses in that time. We're consistent now and need to keep that up on Saturday to make it pay off.

Look at those in the bottom three in the last 5 games:

Leicester lost 4
Forest lost 4
S'ton lost 3

Those teams are about to collapse as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone else nervously thinking about Saturday a lot this week?

I'll forget it briefly, but then it'll rear it's ugly head again

I haven’t had a flicker of nerves all season about any game honestly. It feels completely different to last season for me when it was affecting my everyday life and consuming me. I think I accepted we were likely to go down when the summer transfer window shut and that’s made it more tolerable.

Villa stayed up on the last day with an away draw against West Ham with Smith, JT and Shakey, If memory serves me correctly we got 7 points from the last 9 which included a win against Arsenal. We were dead and buried and looked nailed on for relegation.
