Don’t win tomorrow and that’s it for us. We will effectively be left with one home game to get a realistic chance of win. It’s unlikely vs Newcastle and City. Given our away form (one win in thirty one) I think it is, it’s effectively curtains.
I take it you had us down to beat Arsenal and Brentford then? Literally no-one knows other teams results and if tomorrow will matter or not.

I'd be wary of facing Liverpool now, tbh.

They know that others have seen them a couple of times this season apparently getting out of a slump with a good result or two only to collapse away at a bum team.

I reckon Klopp might have them fired up for this one. Also, if he continues to play Trent Alistair Whatever further up the pitch and away from just feebly crumbling at RWB then they immediately improve their chances of a result by 50%.

I dont see Leeds taking maximum points.

I don’t see the RS doing us any favours, they always collapse when we need them to get a result…..

We badly miss Doucoure's energy. Three points out if the next two games wouldn't be a disaster. 30 points with 6 games to go, Doucoure back and a reasonable chance that the currently bottom 3, plus 2 out of Leeds, West Ham & Bournemouth (who play each other in the second game after a hard game for each of them) would also be below us.

Just a reminder to people, that tomorrow is not a “must win” game. If we lose, then there’ll be another 21pts up for grabs.

Football doesn’t care that you “can’t see where the next win will come from”. They can come from unexpected places, as we can attest.

We’re not down until we run out of games/points. Mathematics, yo!!

Leeds could take a hiding. They were thrashed at Arsenal and collapsed at home to Palace. They are fantastically fragile. Their captain is as bad a defender as I've seen this side of Ben Godfrey.

They are truly terrible, if we can't finish above them we deserve to go down. No question about it.

Yeah you are right, and we can keep telling ourselves this, just like saints can. Cos Mathematics proves this, until it's to late that is.

I like common sense personally, and to me, Tomorrow Is a must win game. I want our safety carved out by our own hands, not to be relying on the Failures of others to save us.

Mathematics doesn't take in to account the schooling we suffered last week
Mathematics doesn't take in to account the impact a loss at home a week later could do to the squad mentality

We need 3pts on the board tomorrow regardless of Mathematics...

That's a sensible outlook which is at complete odds with the sizable population who log on this site to whinge about the panic that consumes their minds while urinating themselves mid sentence when typing a bleak tirade for their post.
(This is not about people who are realistically cynical about our prospects , more on the people who said we were getting regulated since Martinez basically the doomsday preppers of the footballing world) . But I agree plenty of time before anything is concrete.

clearly need a result today to keep us in with a shout, if not we will be clear favourites to go down by the time we come to the end of the crucial 3 game run from Palace to Leicester.

2 of those 3 are away which limits our chances of points plus the next 2 after that are odds on defeats - massively so against City.

Personally I think we’re screwed either way given the nature of the 5 after today, but a defeat today confirms it early
