clearly need a result today to keep us in with a shout, if not we will be clear favourites to go down by the time we come to the end of the crucial 3 game run from Palace to Leicester.

2 of those 3 are away which limits our chances of points plus the next 2 after that are odds on defeats - massively so against City.

Personally I think we’re screwed either way given the nature of the 5 after today, but a defeat today confirms it early
Win today and I think we will scramble 36 and stay up. 36 points looks like a difficult total for Forest and Leicester and unreachable for Saints. Draw or defeat and I think we are most likely to be the team that joins Saints and Forest.

I see Saints and Forest as clear favourites and for us I see two avenues of escape. One is to finish above Leicester. This I feel very nervous about as we play them away from home in a couple of weeks. They have been playing really poorly but we know they have the quality that if they gel they can string a couple together and certainly beat us. The other way I see us escaping is staying within 3 points of Bournemouth and beating them on the last day

I see you woke up nice and early ready for the game lol

Today isn’t a ‘must win’ game by any means , but it is another ‘we must start winning soon’ game.
Although it isn’t impossible I feel we can’t expect to survive on draws alone.
Psychologically, for many of us beleaguered supporters , failure to secure a win with home advantage against a good but out of form mid table side who are also missing important personnel, would represent a blow to our collective morale.

I had a dream last night, Everton beat Fulham 5-0

We got Palace in a minute. Would like their bubble burst. I agree about Soton. They are all but gone
Palace away will be tough. We can take a point though. We did so against Chelsea away. If we win today I think the team will feel a lot more confident of trying to get the job done and dusted sooner rather than later.

Go into next weeks game on 30 points against a team who'll probably reach safety today on 36 points and we can get a result down there.

We are fighting, some are resigned to relegation. If Leicester take a beating today they might be gone too if we can get a win. Once that gap appears it is difficult to close when you only have a handful of games and your form is so poor
