Burnley is the template as depressing as that is. They sold Pope, Cornet, Nathan Collins and erm Dwight McNeill as they had to due to finances but also kept a solid core of 5-6 and getting Kompany in meant they suddenly had a good knowledge of the Belgian market.

Dyche will just have to scout around for similar players in the lower leagues and abroad/Scotland.

Someone like Patterson should look good down there. He's shown potential at prem before the injuries. Garner was fine for Forest and given their scoring records in half a season likes of Simms and Tom Cannon need to be given serious chances aswell.

Thirwell's connections stop at Wolverhampton. But I agree Dyche will look at cheaper players to fit his system.

Still won't mean we come back up.

There's also the FFP rules we've broken and the threat of going bankrupt too

If we go down, we have Sean Dyche and we have a bigger stadium than 98% of the football league. New ground will be the biggest outside Prem.
All we need is a new owner and 22 new players and we'll be fine. Newcastle, long term benefitted from being relegated because they had a squad overhaul and eventually got rid of Mike Ashley.
I'm sure Burnley fans are more excited by next season than any of the seasons they spent in the PL before, just scraping 40 and 1 year in Europe versus coming up with a young team playing exciting football with extra goals for fun. Bet they'll prefer long term that they got rid of this bottom feeder mentality.
Leeds took much longer, Wednesday still well down there, but that's sport. We'll be where we deserve to be, but at the same time we'll be in a brand new ground on the banks of the Royal Blue Mersey. :D

A bugger stadium sounds apt for us

I was in the main stand mate my mouth was dry and I could feel tears welling up in my eyes but we came through it and we can again.
Worst and best day ever mate.

Looking for any positives today, the coaching staff have clearly been trying to go for the one game at a time approach, ignore the table, execute the plan with freedom of expression blah blah. The bleaker things look, we could/should see the team sent out with the message that if they don’t give every last bit of effort bravery and quality in every minute of every game, we are certain to go down. Hopefully today is the rock bottom you have to hit before the lazy spineless sods realise no-one is coming to help them. They have to strap in and bulldoze the next few games.

Hoped I’d see that today as a reaction to United but it was so flat. If anything I want to see more panic, fear and desperation from the players. It’s not as if there can be any further drop off in quality.

Can’t just be writing off 7 games. There’s still time to get out of this. The players have to fight though like they were before. Unforgivable to just be sleepwalking through games.
Yep, some people just are born to be so negative - when we win - some still find things to moan about. we stay up - it turns into we are down next season, and will keep going down etc etc, some are born to moan and be so negative - for me if we won we were not safe and if we lost we were not down - while some had us as going down even if we won today lol
