Yep that is the worry, but if we go into the last game needing to win we can still do it, especially if B'mouth are already safe.

Anyone who was at the Wimbledon game when we were 0-2 down at H/T and needing to win really knows what staring relegation in the face is all about.

As long as we go into the last game still alive and not depending on others losing that day there is still a reasonable chance.

Great post mate.

My sixtieth year following the Blues. What a Diamond anniversary for me.
I've calmed down a touch but still angry at how things are panning out. As things stand it's still in our hands and even after today I'm still strongly of the belief it'll all be decided on the final day for better or worse.

At best, Tommy. At this point, I no longer have the stomach for that ordeal. Not because my nerves couldn't take it - they definitely can't - but because survival would be met by a streetparty rather than the metaphorical public hangings that rightly need to happen in the aftermath.

Survival on the last day would be the next chapter in Good Times by Bill Kenwright.

So, intellectually, I don't feel the investment this time is worth the sheer pain and anxiety. We might somehow still scramble to safety, but nothing has changed or will change. In the absence of the board stepping down, this club needs a change event. Everton could be mischaracterised as "punching above its weight" while mid-table or competing for a Europa League place. There can be no such judgement when relegated from the top tier and playing in the Championship. Kenwright will not survive that in any meaningful matter.

I'd love us to stay up, but another celebratory pitch invasion is my idea of Hell. Nothing will change as long as so many remain so complacent.

Might not be the worst thing that Palace have hit some form as the game next week isn't a 'must win' for them now. That said, if we turn up with a similar starting 11 to today it's going to be a hard ask to win there, or anywhere for that matter

Hopefully Onana and Coleman will be back. Lewin could be retire…am not expecting him to wear the blue shirt again.

AFAIK I started following Alan Ball's white boots c 1969. So 54 years of mostly misery for me. Still, I was at the Bayern match and the Danny Derby so I suppose I should be grateful!!

My feelings too mate. However it's technically not in our hands though i think. If all the drop candidates win their remaining games and we win ours....we're down. We now need teams to lose to help us out. Any shocks in tomorrow's and Monday's games and we are well adrift😌

Same here mate
I hope you are right that we can survive till.last game of season...but I fear this time we won't survive that..we have used too many lives

Eze and Olise are playing with a smile on their faces. I dread to think what they will do to our stationary defence and a midfield that doesn’t track runners and gives the ball away so freely.

I struggle to see where we pick up points from here. We are absolutely woeful. The last two games have shown how bad we are. If we drop into that bottom three, unfortunately, I don’t see a repeat of last year. This team is worse, waaaayyyy worse. There is nothing on that pitch.

Not seeing another win between now and the end of the season unfortunately
