Not sure how it's possible now, but we really need to be within 3 points of Bournemouth for that last game to leapfrog them.

They will be safe long before...pretty capable of getting 4 points out of Leeds-West Ham at home and winning at Southampton. That alone gets them to 40 points and they can pick up points in other games.

Much more realistic teams to get ahead of than Bournemouth now and I don't think it's the worst thing in the world if Wolves and Bournemouth are both safe by early May as intensity will then drop a bit.

Forget Bournemouth, they’ve got West Ham and Leeds at home, Southampton away for starters. If we’re within 3 of them before the last game(we won’t be) we’ll probably be safe already.

Basically at the minute we are relying on everyone else to not win, and hopefully lose to keep us up. while everyone at the bottom is relying on us to keep losing to give them hope - IE even though many say Saints are already down, while they are still so close they still have that tiny chance were as a win for us yesterday would have made it so much more awkward for them
Agreed.
Who goes down will depend on the results of the games between the bottom 6.
Leicester have the best chance of picking up points as they have 3 games against fellow strugglers, including us.
Leeds and forest and WHU have 2.
We have only that 1 against Leicester.
Not looking good!

We would have been better doing that last season given our subsequent lack of spending. I don't think there is any way Dyche builds us the team that will come up, and based on his treatment of Simms it certainly wont be to the benefit of young players.
If you look at it simply like that it may give a chance to clear the decks BUT our financial position will more than likely seeing a massive fire sale with nothing to spend and potential administration which automatically carries a big points deduction, just look at Reading this season. The EFL rules are much more stringent than the PL P&S... much more stringent.

Relegation from a financial would be catastrophic, I cant believe there are fans willingly ready to put the clubs very existence at risk.

We need to fight to the end, every one of us, with what could happen if we drop.... if it isnt good enough then so be it, but instead of worry over relegation next season it will be a very different worry, and a worry we can not control from the stands.

Time to accept the inevitable.

There’s no way we’re surviving after yesterday, absolutely no chance in hell.

Make your peace with it and hope they dock us points this season so it’s not a worry for next season.
