I think most of us are waiting to see what Leicester do against Wolves. Any hint of them getting a new manager bounce is bad news for us given they've got some decent players and not the worst fixtures.

Leeds-Leicester is the key. Winner there should have enough momentum to stay up.

Loser of it will start to run out of winnable games.

Do you think Leicester and Forest are likely to both win 3 more games? It’s a serious question. Their current form suggests neither of them make it to 35 points.

I agree, I just can't see three wins for them from the run in, we need Liverpool to annoying beat them both, Newcastle to stay in the top 4 race, Arsenal the title race, Brighton to stay in the European hunt and a few teams like Wolves to want to secure safety ASAP

Leicester City
Home Wolves
Away Leeds
Home Everton
Away Fulham
Home Liverpool
Newcastle away
Home West Ham

Forest
Away Liverpool
Home Brighton
Away Brentford
Home Southampton
Away Chelsea
Home Arsenal
Away Palace

I like Everton, hence I post here and I want u guys to stay up.
I think Saints and Forest are gone and the team joining them is from Leeds, Leicester and Everton. I also think that Leicester will stay up which, using my thought process, means it is a straight fight between u and Leeds.
The reason I think Leicester will stay up is two fold, first and most importantly they have goal scorers and Tielsman is now back from injury and secondly, they got rid of Rodgers. Its not praising Smith, it is just any manager will motivate the players as Rodgers clearly lost the team and they did not respect him. I also think JT (horrible individual), but he knows how to organise a defense and he will command and have respect from the players. The defenders at Leicester will want to learn from him because he was one of the best. So to stay up, I think you need to score 3 more point than Leeds do in the remaining game. It is a tough task but not impossible.
Hope it works out for u

That's It, I am going to be positive this wk and say we will be coming back from London with 3pts in the bag Saturday ( Including the benefit of an away win to our name )

The only thing that worries me, is the 6 days I have to hold on to that belief now...

( God, I didn't even make it to the reply button I already felt nibble in to my positivity 🙄

My friends and family regard me as an eternal pessimist, particularly when it comes to Everton FC. But as a new member to this forum I'm shocked to learn that so many of my fellows Blues have already written off our great club.

Some of us are talking as if we are odds on to go down, but we aren't even in the relegation zone! I remember Wimbledon and I remember Coventry. I remember the trepidation and ultimately the jubilation. I didn't write us off when we were 2-0 down against Wimbledon and needed to win to stay up, so with 24 points still to play for and with 3 dire teams still below us I refuse to give up.

Dyche, rather uncharacteristically, made some mistakes against Fulham. We also sorely missed Doucoure. However, our overall home record under Dyche is solid and that will keep us up... as long as we Blues keep the faith.

We fans need to treat every remaining home game as a cup final, just as we did last season. With just a few games to go last season we were actually in the relegation zone and Burnley were very much in the ascendency. But we stayed up and maintained our Premier League status... just as we will this season.

We are Everton. We don't do relegation. In our entire 140-year history we have been relegated just twice and we have enjoyed more seasons in the top division than any other club.

Resigning ourselves to relegation achieves nothing. It simply plays into the hands of those who would love to see us on our knees and relegated to the oblivion of the lower leagues.

Keep the faith, Blues.

Before Villa, I was looking for an overall target of 42 points...

Villa (H) - 3 pts / RESULT 0 POINTS
Arsenal (A) - 0 / RESULT 0 POINTS
Forest (A) - 3 / RESULT 1 POINT
Brentford (H) - 1 / RESULT 3 POINTS
Chelsea (A) - 0 / RESULT 1 POINT
Spurs (H) - 1 / RESULT 1 POINT
Man U (A) - 0 / RESULT 0
Fulham (H) - 1 / RESULT 0

UPDATE: 6 points out of my target of 9 points by this point, and that was for the brilliant target of 42 points at the end of the season.
Now we need 12 points from 9 games to get to 39 points and even if we want 8 to get to the very low 35 points that somehow saves us, I just can't see where they are coming from, apart from sides who have avoided relegation and maybe are out of the adrenaline / energy rush. Since my original predictions, Palace are doing better and Leicester have a decent new manager, Newcastle are back on form, Brighton too, and so if we leave needing 4 or 6 points from the last two then I can't see any optimistic predictions any more. if 17th position survives with 35 points this year and we still get relegated - wow - that puts it into context.

Palace (A) - 3 / revised to a more hopeful realistic 1 point
Newcastle (H) - 1 / revised 0
Leicester (A) - 3 / revised 1
Brighton (A) - 1 / revised 0
Man City (H) - 0 / revised 0
Wolves (A) - 3 / revised 3
Bournemouth (H) - 1 / revised 1

Leicester/Forest lose and we beat Palace.

5pts clear of Leicester (2 wins)
3pts clear of Forest (win + draw)

We'd need to match/better their results over 4 games.
Nothing is impossible but I think on current form ( and considering our abominable away record) it would be a major surprise if we defeat Palace.
We might sneak a draw but even that seems unlikely with our recent performances in mind.
Still hope springs eternal, I suppose.
