I’d take knowing we have to beat Bournemouth’s to guarantee survival now tbf. I reckon Bournemouth would be on the beach by then and we’d have enough…

My problem is finding us a route that gets us to the stage where aren’t relying on other results on the last day.
Not sure we will even have a chance by the last day.

Other than the land value the stadium only has value if it is being used. For a 50k+ seater stadium, the only way the stadium has any value is if the stadium owners have a football club as a tenant. RS is not going to use it and therefore the only tenant available (if the stadium was sold) is Everton. There is no double your money profit to be made on the stadium. If Mosh was to sell it for say, 500m, the annual ROI would be an absolute minimum of 5% which would make the annual rent to EFC for use of the stadium 25m. That business model just doesn't stack up for EFC as they would have little or no match day revenue as a result. The biggest risk to EFC is if Mosh signs a long contract to rent the stadium as part of the sale e.g. 50 years. That way any potential investor would get their money back and Mosh would get 500m but it would leave EFC high and dry. The fans, the PL, and any other person with an interest in football simply can't let that happen. It would be so so so wrong

It's the way I think it'll go if we're relegated.

I never said any of it would be beneficial to the football club.

Plenty of examples of this happening in the football league.

Sorry mate that's just delusional. More attractive in the Championship lol

You don't to set a price when your ship sinking.. you take what you can get before you drown

Moshs ideal world is to get back £1billion at least.

And we would be more attractive in the championship as investors will see us an easy pick. Financially cash strapped being propped by an owner desperate to sell. In the PL Moshiri has ground to stake a higher price. In the championship...he's lost that and the money men will see it as an easy, cheaper, way in than before

You'd want to be off your bin though - buying our business - without sales off assets every year its loosing 100mill + very easily.

Palace, Newcastle, Wolves, Leicester, Bournemouth

5 cup finals
Sad thing is, even in recent years you'd be looking at those fixtures and thinking "thank God we haven't got any of the decent teams in there", yet here we are wondering if we'll even get more than a few points total from the five games.

I mean, Newcastle ffs the best of the lot, and they still play dross like Longstaff, Burn, Murphy, Willock, etc. Awful players who they've somehow turned into world beaters.

That’s my worry. We are desperate for a win against palace or 4 points from palace/Newcastle.

Dyche keeps talking about having a method to the madness and not relying on too many ‘lucky ones’. I’d take a couple of lucky ones right now.

FFP needs a real rethink on how it is implemented. I am a supporter of the idea behind FFP but the implementation is poor. Rather than looking to penalise Everton with points and or a fine, FFP should be forcing Mosh to have the stadium ownership as a core part of Everton Football Club that can never be disassociated from the club. If the sh1t really hits the fan and relegation and even a push to administration then an investor will jump in at the last minute to save EFC as there would be huge potential to increase its value. But, if the club has lost its ground and has a huge contract for rent for many years to come it would be so much more difficult to find an investor. I am not saying this will happen to EFC, I am just using EFC as an example. The same principle applies to all clubs. Football is part of the fabric of English culture and investors should be prevented from asset stripping a club's ground from them,

I don't think Mosh has a hope in hell of getting anywhere near 1Bn. I appreciate there is inflation but Toon sold for 305m and Villa sold for about 105m. Each of the 3 clubs would be seen as having fairly equal potential for growth.
