It was Man City. Away. They showed enough in that last 20 mins to give their fans a lot of optimism. And a blind man could see they have far, far better attacking options than us, if Smith can introduce any semblance of organisation into them, they will win games.
City were back in the dressing room after they went 3-0 up. We went there and drew with City.

As for Leicester's goal scoring: 6 goals in the last 9 games. Everton, 8 goals in the last 9 games.

This is what I meant - Covid season aside...

Fancied us to beat them.

The manner of the defeat, and consequence of it will prove significant IMO.

Prove me wrong Everton, but I think we're favourite for the drop.

I don't think that's the correct mindset.

If we are odds on to go down, the focus should simply be remaining competitive in every game. We were in it against Fulham. If we get DCL back and he can finish a couple of chances we can win games, even if we are "favourites" to go down.

I don't think we should underestimate the massive importance of tonight's game.

I hate to say it, but we badly need the mob next door to win this. Leeds are desperately poor defensively. They are liable to ship three or four every game. True, they might very well score most games, but they are abysmal at the back. Their captain is a liability and the goalkeeper is a ticking time-bomb. No, I'm not talking about Seamus and Jordan...

I maintain we can catch Leeds. But not if they win tonight.

Come on the Red Men. Dese are [Poor language removed].

I've already factored in a Leeds win.

Last decade won 5 home matches v Fulham and lost 2

Well, my small point was the bold;

All considered - I think that defeat yesterday was as damaging as any in years. It floored me, more so than any result I can remember.

I think it was our most 'winnable' game left this season. A Fulham side at Goodison - who we always beat at Goodison (none covid), on the back of 5 straight defeats without Mitrovic or a manager on the sideline.

It was a massive game for us - 3 points yesterday would have took us to 30, as good as 4 clear of Nottingham Forest's when you factor GD and 5 of Leicester. It give us 1 match day grace, which would have been massive when there's 7 to go.

I don't think we can underestimate the impact of that result - and the performance.

Prior Fulham, if someone give me £1m and said I had to bet it on the 3 who went down, I wouldn't have included Everton.

Now I would. Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Everton.

The keywords there being "at Goodison"

Record vs Fulham at Goodison Since Prem Began prior Saturday read;

P16
W15
L1

The 1 loss being with no fans/Covid season.

Generally, we beat them at Goodison. It's like I never expect to win at Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea - but I expect us to beat Fulham at Goodison.
If ever we bloody needed to beat them, it was Saturday. It was a small reason towards others why I felt it was our most winnable game left.

I never expect us to win away, with just the 1 win coming at bottom of the league Southampton in October.

Anyway I'm becoming boring - I have us as relegated. For the same reason I've said since the summer - no goals. Looking at that fixture list, I can't see the points.

We'll see.

Agree with so much of this. I really felt we were going to be ok before Saturday, but now? It's not just the fact that we lost a game that on paper should have been our one nailed-on win remaining, it's that we went down with a whimper. I said before that the one advantage the other bottom teams (us included) had over Leicester was that their players didn't seem to have any intent to fight out a relegation battle. But on Saturday it didn't look like we did either. Without that, we have no chance of staying up.

Yes Leicester has had trouble scoring of late, but i fear that's merely a blip. They have much better attacking options than us. I think they can score enough to stay up

However, their defence has been dreadful and they have easily the worst GK tandem in the league. We need that to continue.

Just heard its their worst season away from home in the league since 1992.
Palace wolves and bournemouth have pulled away from us in the last few weeks. Imo if leeds pull 5 clear tonight thats another we wont catch.
