No one likes a relegation battle, but people saying ‘we’re gone’ every single day when there were 10 games to go and we weren’t even in the relegation zone is just ridiculous. Of course we might end up there, everyone knows the situation we’re in, but people banging on about how certain they are we’re down just serves zero purpose whatsoever
Your right, and it's certainly not good good on the old Ticker/Brain when it's possibly the first thing your reading in the day, but everybody on this forum is guilty of it at some point. I mean were all in the same boat here, people handle things differently. Some are glass half full - some are glass half empty and some just drink it.. It can be as simple as down to age on how people handle there feelings.

But one thing for sure is that if everybody was in that same boat, with the same opinions ( on all subjects )
it would end up being complete silence, No conversation and ultimately ' No Forum ' !!

Beat Palace Saturday tho and that Boat will be Rocking !!

I have most of the main suspects on egnore these days.

Largely a bunch of angry toerags who love the sound of their own voice / take out their personal frustrations on the club in some ritualistic form of masochism.
Haha Never personally done it, but how do you actually know if people have you on Ignore, would hate to Realise I've been wasting time Posting/Responding to people that will never see the post....

Then Again I could of just done it now..

Ped saying on Toffee TV that even if we somehow stay up, a lot of fans ignoring the fact that we could get a transfer embargo or points deduction for next season. Or even if we avoid those things too we’re still going to have to be careful with spending.

In other words, the squad will probably be mostly the same next season, so we will probably be in the same position again next season.

If theres any punishment then we would appeal. Giving the club time to buy/sell players this coming window.

Look at Juventus who appealed and have gone from 7th to 3rd overnight....appeal pushed back any deductions to next season.

It’s the same edgy lot that rubbish every single transfer and won’t ever get behind a single manager we have. You can’t ever be wrong if you just deride everything immediately. They just want to show how ‘not bothered’ they are by relegation by trying to call it months before it has even happened so they can say I told you so and be right on the internet. The same lot who are so unbothered by the Kopites winning anything that they never watch them yet spend their time in the thread on here telling everyone how good they actually are. The same lot that keep calling for Everton’s liquidation even though the number of football club’s that have disappeared in England is absolutely minute.

Stupid hipster catastrophisers who are too edgy to even support their own team. Wouldn’t surprise me if some of them wanted us to go down so they could be right on the internet.
Wow, so on point, couldn't have said it this well myself.

Brilliantly surmised 🙂

If we went into the championship, which I don't think will happen, would we be the biggest club to be relegated from the top division in the modern premier league era?

I've been looking at recent prem clubs who went down and had some had success in the prem era , some have come back up

Aston Villa
Newcastle
Leeds
Norwich
Stoke
Watford
Swansea (2013 league Cup winners)
Portsmouth (2008 fa cup winners)
Wigan (2013 fa cup winners)
Southampton
WBA
Wolves
West ham
Sheff wed

Only villa and Newcastle have a case with us?

We'll be the biggest relegation since 1974 when United went down.
