Ped saying on Toffee TV that even if we somehow stay up, a lot of fans ignoring the fact that we could get a transfer embargo or points deduction for next season. Or even if we avoid those things too we’re still going to have to be careful with spending.

In other words, the squad will probably be mostly the same next season, so we will probably be in the same position again next season.
Seems to be a trend among some of these Sooper Bloos to make things as grim as possible, I guess terrifying people to death is good for the profile. Regardless of how true or not it is "well, even if we stay up next season will be worse" just isn't the message anyone needs, for individual mental health and to try and salvage some positivity from the fanbase in general.

We know things are bad right now but I'm sick of hearing all these doomsday scenarios designed to make people feel worse than they already do.

It beggars belief that these people say what they do.

The other thing that comes across with it is a horrible sense of entitlement: that being involved in back-to-back relegation campaigns is intolerable and too demeaning to go through. There's clubs in the PL who have had to contest with it for years and years like S'ton and Palace..and others who toiled for 4/5/6 seasons before succumbing to relegation like Wigan or Burnley.

But we face two seasons worth of it and the world no longer spins on its access. How dare us having to face two seasons in the bottom 5 / 6 battling for our PL status.

It's childlike. Horrendous foot stamping by people who should know better.

God forbid people are unhappy with us spending £500m to end up with the joint worst squad in the league.

I feel we have more chance against Palace than Newcastle.
It's just taking that chance that's where it gets complicated.

Newcastle may be a home game but they are such a well structured team this season, whether home or away it's just another game to them..

Anyway the nxt game is always the most important game, win that, and suddenly Newcastle become less scary...

I dont feel confident of a result at Palace given that Coleman is out and Onana appears to be going to miss out.

We need to see both Leicester and Leeds defeated and hope that Coleman and Onana can return to rejoin with Doucoure against Newcastle.

I have most of the main suspects on egnore these days.

Largely a bunch of angry toerags who love the sound of their own voice / take out their personal frustrations on the club in some ritualistic form of masochism.
