It beggars belief that these people say what they do.

The other thing that comes across with it is a horrible sense of entitlement: that being involved in back-to-back relegation campaigns is intolerable and too demeaning to go through. There's clubs in the PL who have had to contest with it for years and years like S'ton and Palace..and others who toiled for 4/5/6 seasons before succumbing to relegation like Wigan or Burnley.

But we face two seasons worth of it and the world no longer spins on its access. How dare us having to face two seasons in the bottom 5 / 6 battling for our PL status.

It's childlike. Horrendous foot stamping by people who should know better.

It’s the same edgy lot that rubbish every single transfer and won’t ever get behind a single manager we have. You can’t ever be wrong if you just deride everything immediately. They just want to show how ‘not bothered’ they are by relegation by trying to call it months before it has even happened so they can say I told you so and be right on the internet. The same lot who are so unbothered by the Kopites winning anything that they never watch them yet spend their time in the thread on here telling everyone how good they actually are. The same lot that keep calling for Everton’s liquidation even though the number of football club’s that have disappeared in England is absolutely minute.

Stupid hipster catastrophisers who are too edgy to even support their own team. Wouldn’t surprise me if some of them wanted us to go down so they could be right on the internet.

Last season was really tough to bear.
This season has been as bad as our worst in the PL, and could end up worse.
The looming situation with FFP, we could be in an even worse position than we have ever been.

Relegation. My fear of this is resurfacing the ghosts of Coventry and Wimbledon as a young fan wondering why my supposedly incredible team, was facing such crisis.

Hated the years of insignificant mediocrity, watching the neighbours in finals getting incredible luck in big moments as we just faltered year after year, limping into moments of potential with the inevitable hopeless fails.

Moshiri. Could only happen to us. Paupers for far too long, the inevitable chav who wins the lottery, and we get what we got. Crazy decision making and spending. Lurching with no plan from vulture to vulture, picking at the bones of our now morally corrupted decomposing high horse.

BMD. Finally something to hang hope onto.

Now, facing a possibility of being relegated in our final season at Goodison, a fate so cruel for a stadium as magical and grand. Alternatively, the chances equally as high if we manage to stay up, that our 1st seasons in BMD will be hosting teams incomparable in size, honours and history in the lower league(s).

Talk about gross mismanagement. Talk about bad luck. Talk about Everton That. It's the pinnacle of what we have come to expect as blues for the last 30 years. Does any set of club's fans deserve this. No. But do ours especially. Not in a billion years.

Our fans are just miles apart from any other. What we have endured, and what we bring out of love, for no reward.

We're Priceless.

Give yourselves a bit of credit. A talking to, that no matter what gets thrown at us, no other club, could hope to have the support that our club has from us.

Thanks to every one of you, on here, amongst mates, amongst strangers, those we nod too, smile at, that all share that bond of unbelievable resilience and devotion to Everton.

Regardless what we've been through, what we will go through. There is no one like us.

Best of all.

We will get what we deserve and see our team glorious again. Believe it.

Man City fans would never have believed it when Goater was their king, what would come with Aguero.

Our time will come. Keep the faith.

When it comes it will be the sweetest victory, utterl joy, complete justification for every bit of hope we've claimed to have wasted.

Turn up, as per normal. Back the team.

Sack The Board.

Come On You Beautiful Blues.

That's pretty detailed. And these are the people that don't like 2 relegation battles in a row is it?
In that case, this relegation scrap is positively scrumptious, can't wait for the treble

No one likes a relegation battle, but people saying ‘we’re gone’ every single day when there were 10 games to go and we weren’t even in the relegation zone is just ridiculous. Of course we might end up there, everyone knows the situation we’re in, but people banging on about how certain they are we’re down just serves zero purpose whatsoever

Ah yea definitely agree with you there
Not over til its over and I think we'll make it tbh
Is a bit stressful at times though

Everything's cause for a rant for them. The downturn in the club's fortunes is met not with any balance but complete toxicity: "He's to blame", "they're rubbish", "we're down", "points deductions on the way". It must be exhausting being that angry.

I have no idea - apart from possibly making cash from it by entertaining the feeble minded who are impressed by their rants and subscribe to their dullness - why they even mither themselves with Everton.

We’ve been close to even money with the bookies for a long time which suggests there’s a 50%+ chance we’re going down, so not a wild exaggeration for people to believe we’re ****ed

If something is 50 50 then it’s equally likely the outcome is we stay up so it’s one thing to say we could go down, it’s another thing to be hammering home all the time

This 100%. Well said.

It's childlike with them, that's what gets me.

It's ok to say in the wake of a defeat "I think we're done for here". We're all exasperated at that point. But it's another thing entirely to make a hobby of it and enjoy doing it to make other people feel pessimistic.

A horrendous bunch of child-like men who soothe their own frustrations by tormenting others.

Football fans typically think somethings DEFO going to happen if it’s even close to 50% likely

Everton will DEFO beat Fulham at home
