I did, and I have seen lots of other outlier results. That is probably why football is so popular. But they are outlier results, they are the exception from the norm and they do not happen consistently for teams over a period of time. Just as u say Everton can beat Toon, Leicester, Forest, and Leeds can pull off an outlier result. But judging the teams without the outlier I think it is between you guys and Leeds

You appear to play fast and lose with a couple of terms:

Isn't it "the norm" that Leicester lose games rather than win them? I mean, one win in 12 suggests to me that Leicester dont win matches, and today's win is "the outlier".

It wasn't a disaster but it wasn't good either. We are now in the bottom 3 and weren't at 3 o clock.

It's also 5 games without a win which doesn't bode well for a time of season where we need some form. This Newcastle game is the most winnable until Bournemouth on the last day. So much riding on it.

These statistics are totally irrelevant.

The reason Leeds have gotten something from the games having conceded multiple times more often than we have is because they have conceded SIXTY TWO GOALS.

We’ve conceded 16 in 12 under Dyche. Leeds have conceded 23 in 13 under Gracia, and we have had the tougher fixtures.
Leeds have fallen behind in 23 of their 32 games. That is more times than we have (21).

They have picked up 12 points from losing positions, compared to our 7.

Therefore, the reason they get more from games is because they have the 2nd best attack in the bottom half (comfortably more than Chelsea, Palace, West Ham).

The best attack in the bottom half, unfortunately, is Leicester. And that’s why many make those two favourites to get out of the mess they are in.

Hold on: it wasn't good to go to a form team with three straight wins and hold them to a draw?

If that wasn't good then how would you describe Forest and Leeds' results?

That draw we got today would've looked a lot better if we'd done the business last week. Biggest concern for me today was that I still don't think we can win away from home.

I'm talking about the day in general. It is never a good day if you drop into the bottom 3. I dont think that's a controversial opinion.

The point away in itself is ok. Whether it was enough remains to be seen and we won't know until 28 May. We didnt do the job at home last week and now we are in a precarious position.

Edging ever near to getting relegated. A winnable game at palace. Running out of time. Manager doesn’t really know how to set the team up.

“Best attack” is irrelevant if you concede too many goals to get enough points to stay up.

You are talking as if scoring more goals and conceding many is inherently better than scoring less goals and conceding fewer. It’s just not the case.

Things I've learned on here today:

1/ getting a point away from home against a PL form team with our own midfield still weakened is "not good"

2/ seeing S'ton buried, finally, and Forest and Leeds getting beat again means nothing

3/ Everton cant win any of their last 6 games but Leicester will win most of theirs (that's the Leicester who've won 1 in 12) and Newcastle will probably win most of theirs too (that's the Leeds who've won 3 times in the last 19 games).

Think today was a bit like the game we played last season against Leicester at home when we thought we needed to win but ended up having to settle for a late equaliser. Today could yet turn out to be a very important point. Leeds are on a terrible run and they have a tougher run in than us.

He knows exactly how to set the team up, but we’ve lost three of our nailed on starting eleven since he came in, ignoring Calvert Lewin.

Despite that we went away to Palace and had the best chance of the game and more than twice as many shots on target.

It is.

They have more points than us. They have won more games. They get more points from losing positions. They create chances to win games and score far more goals. They are the harder things to do in Football.

Also our defence isn’t strong either. We have conceded more than 14 of our 19 opponents.

Precisely.

The point is an ok result. Might be important come game 38, who knows.

But falling into the bottom 3 means its not a "good" day.

3 points would have helped a lot.

We need to win on Thursday now

Its not that complicated.
