His energy and defensive diligence out wide were important, his occasional sloppy passing is a crime in the center but out wide he can get away with it a bit and use his energy. He doesn't really play as one of the midfield 3 when he plays in the center. I also think folk have underestimated how intelligent doucs was with leading the press, got it right a lot.

It’s vital we all keep fighting, all we can do is try. Leave the kopite shitposting for other threads

Great post mate, agree with all. Watched Iwobi today, he is totally disjointed from the deeper two and he doesn’t play with the same defensive energy in the engine room as he does on the flank. His performences in the centre don’t cash the cheques for a starting spot there.

The other thing with Doucoure is he makes it really difficult to break the defensive line, just by energy, presence and as you say prompting the press - Fulham and Palace just played through us centrally for sport - Utd to for that matter.

No, they are not used when it suits, they are used when appropriate. When the input parameters change the outcome can also change. This is why you believe that EFC would have been relegated under Frank yet you believe EFC can avoid relegation under Dyche.
So how have the 'input parameters' changed for Leicester given that they have just won one out of the last twelve games?

The assessment of staying up under Dyche was made on the basis of a handfull of games. You have evidence of two games for Leicester under Smith - one win and one loss.

With the bookies Everton are evens to go down with Leeds and Leicester at 7/4 bookies seem to think at this moment everton will be 3rd team to be relegated
