Didn't you also felt/ said that Maupay would be a good signing for us ?
Just asking lol

Haha, I did mate. But I also said, repeatedly, he's never a number 9 and we'd be going down without signing one

Think a Leicester win is our best bet.

Leicester will get more points than Leeds and us IMO.

I think our best bet is pulling Leeds back into it and hoping we can outperform Southampton and Nottingham Forest.
The thing with a Leicester win is it puts Leeds into total crisis without putting Leicester out of reach: we can still tie Leicester on points with a win in either of our next two games. Obviously it’s all ultimately on us to do so but for that reason I think it’s slightly better for Leicester to win than a draw.

Felt/said Villa would pull away when they sacked Gerrard,

Felt/said Palace would pull away when they sacked Vieira.

Felt/said Leicester would pull away when they sacked Rodgers.

It had gone toxic at them clubs mate/players almost downing tools - the margins are so small and all 3 of those teams have squad/players that are better than the rest.

I think its why Palace went for a manager they knew their players could work with, and the same to an extent with Leicester.
Leicester have only got 3 points from 4 games since Rodgers left though, so they haven't really pulled away at all yet. If they didn't win against Leeds then you'd have to say they just hadn't had a new manager bounce at all and you'd start to think it wasn't coming and maybe fancy us to get something on monday. If they win then suddenly they're on an upward curve with new found belief and the crowd behind them and Monday looks very difficult indeed.

Had 2 games since Dean Smith/Craig Shakespeare went there.

Man City away, lost.
Wolves home, won.

Just think they pull away. We'll know soon enough...

I think they will too, mainly just because on paper they're easily better than the other teams down there. I just think when you get in this position momentum (and lack of it) can be a massive thing, so if they didn't beat Leeds suddenly the lifting of the toxic cloud hasn't actually had the desired effect - a bit like us getting rid of Benitez last year but then losing 6 of the next 7 - and panic really sets in. If they beat Leeds I would definitely expect them to beat us because they'll be confident, and that is a big problem for us, so I'm hoping for a draw on that basis.
