Theyre fighting for their lives now and can't beat Leeds. We are horrific hence why I've said we deserve to go bit let's not pretend Leicester are 1970 Brazil they're down there for a reason
they aren't a good side but are better on paper then us and snatched a draw at night at Leeds which is not easy. let's review next Tuesday. I think they will beat us.

So if we aren't going to win, or get a draw, wtf are you in this thread for then seems as no results really matter as we won't be getting a win or any points?

Just in here for the laughs and giggles then?
To cut a long story short I both teams will think they’ve gained a march on us tonight and they’d be right in thinking that

Points are very hard to come by for all of us down there

Genuinely don’t understand people’s reaction’s to this.

Think.

Why would 2 teams getting 1 point be a good thing for us, when we have 0.88 PPG?

We had to hope that whoever lost tonight crashes and burns.

We are NOT in the position to be hedging bets on draws. Simple stats

I understand the logic of it. We probably aren’t going to finish ahead of both. This is a point more for the team we ultimately need to finish above.

Anyone fancy Leeds in any of their last five?
Obviously we need points ourselves but…

West Ham have all eyes on Europe. Their players will be focused on not getting injured and Moyes will rotate heavily. Spurs are mid collapse and Bournemouth are basically safe and also not very good.

Just as we are, they will sense they can get something from Newcastle too. Their remaining fixtures are about as tough as ours, the same as Leicester.

The reality is, is that the the result for us on Thursday will determine whether this was a good result. On the face of I agree it looks a decent result, another winnable home games down for Leeds without them winning, but if we get beat, then two teams are a point better off, so who knows?

Because it is 2pts to rivals rather than 3
Both are 2pts closer to being caught up than if one won
That game was one of the easier fixtures for both teams
If there is one less team to catch out of two we are almost twice as likely to drop

Points are precious, both our rivals got one tonight.
people were moaning enough when we only got one against palace.

I think when you balance it all out it leaves us with more possibilities, beating Newcastle be the ideal scenario and jump both of them, but even then we have a 6 pointer after against Leicester who are still within reach.

Of course we are crap and odds are against us but for me it’s better we have a few different scenarios of safety.
