If we go down itls not about the club or the players. It's about the mental deterioration of tens if not hundreds of thousands of our fans.

The quality of our lives will decline.

That's the real cost of relegation.

People can stick their 'Championship revival' up their 'kin hoops as far as I'm concerned.

Too much of the 'get the board out' mantra has affected our survival chances. The club has been split top to bottom and it's heavily contributed to where we are. So all the picchforkers can do one.

Yes we need a new board...but we were getting one anyway. We didn't need a cadre of self appointed social media biffs to get that next season, it was happening come what may.

There is NO upside to relegation. NONE.

Massive this yano Dave. I know some of us have a laugh in the ale house but it will genuinely cripple livelihoods and like @GrandOldTeam has said before it will probably cripple the forum and it won’t go on. It’s bad times.
I've always seen if from that perspective. Last season and this seaosn.

This is going to be a social catastrophe for Merseyside.

70 years top flight status lost and all the disruption it'll cause.

This goes beyond football.

You are saying our mental state will deteriorate.
Well I'm sure most Everton fans aren't cocka hoop with the club as is.

If relegation means I never see the likes of Iwobi, Godfrey, Pickford again and this board go then I'd be instantly feeling miles better.

I guarantee any fan would.

Equally being in the PL isn't exactly a barrel of laughs is it.
I get what your saying mate but when you see Iwobi and co leave and they are replaced with players from Sheffield Wednesday and Preston cast offs you will have second thoughts on this statement.

Be staying with this and supporting till the bitter come what may, every kick, every moment.

Don’t care how bad they are, I’m going to keep supporting them.

I'm shattered watching us these days as it is. I'm not sure what league we play in will make much difference to that. Relegation will be horrendous for the club, football wise and financially, but I would get over it and life would go on.

I agree is no upside on relegation does just make it harder, but dont agree on the protest has affected survival chances. Was always going to happen you go back to moshiri saying we will get attackers in and lampard, waiting weeks to get mapay in even at the start of the season. Is only so much us fans well from my side i could give we all backed this team so much last season. And this season we have had nothing back from the club.

All the young ones will turn to Liverpool. It genuinely could be the death of Everton. Myself and everyone on here will be Everton fans till the day they die but it’s about Everton’s future and it looks bleak.

We'll need to win at least 2 of our remaining 5, maybe even 3. hard to see to see where those wins are going to come from. Leicester is more of a must win than must not lose. One hope is that Wolves and Bournemouth might be safe themselves with little to play for in the last 2 games but are we good enough to take advantage of that, not right now
