I like your posts but I find this to be a fatuous comment.

If we do eventually go down (big if) then it will be defeats to the likes of Southampton and Bournemouth that did it, not a loss to a top 4 side.

We were never going to be able to compete with Newcastle.
Is not an excuse this team let us down tonight do not care what position in the league in top 4 or not is never a reason for the team to give uo the fight

why just why just why. everton will now be forgotten
Yes, that's sadly true. When my cousin's daughter, who is from London, mentioned last week that her fiancé supports Charlton Athletic.... I was thinking... "do they even exist? I haven't heard about them in nearly 20 years."

And yet I remember them thumping us in the Premier League.

The lower leagues are oblivion.

Abject tonight, absolutely abject.
But that fat lady ain't even plugged her mic in yet. Two poxy points behind! And you want to give up now?
I was at the Wimbledon game, so I'm certainly not giving up.

This is far from over, even if we don't win on Monday night.

The likes of Brighton and Wolves and Bournemouth are all beatable.

We are still staying up. We have just played one of the best sides in europe at the moment, we were expected to lose. No need to panic.

Beat Leicester and all is rosey.

Newcastle are an incredible side, let's not get too down about tonight.
Agreed.

They thrashed Man Utd just the other week.

The Leicester game really is crucial.

We were 5 points adrift at this stage last time and managed to turn it around, in part thanks to a victory away... at Leicester.
And in part to having Rico who believed in the cause & busted his balls for them last few games, these lot are coward S houses who neither have the quality OR the character to bleed for the badge.

I do think DCL is the sort of player you want against Leicester. Big and fast. Their CBs are strong, but thick and slow. He can engage in the physical battle, but should be able to get away from them. Just need some form of service. Backing him to score.

We simply have to score first. If they score first we will collapse again. New McDonalds has appeared near the Counting House pub up the road from the stadium too.
My sentiments exactly. Lose to Leicester and I think we're gone.
