Said the other day. Burnley took 1 point from their last four games last season while we took 4. If that happens to Forest and Leeds and we take just 3 points from five we would probably stay up on GD.

It’s just as possible that any of the teams in the bottom six could go on a really bad run as a good run. Ourselves included.
Yep.

The only point some of us - including you - are making is that the Forest result and hopefully tomorrow's Leeds result keeps everything in play.

Apparently though that's not allowed for some.

A conundrum..
Would it be best to go down and HOPEFULLY get prompted so we can start at BMD in the Prem..or
The likelihood that if we survive this season we will eventually go down the next and hence Championship football at BMD..
??
I’d argue that you’re more likely to be in the PL in two years time by being in it next year rather than be in the Championship and trying to get back in.

Who knows what may happen before then: actual investment and signing a forward and a creative player. I think it’s best to think positive etc.

I can take people not backing managers, weird agendas against our better players, people saying that we might go down or that they think we’ll go down.

But there’s a group on here who actually want us to go down and were fuming when Brentford won. Regardless of how this season ends, that will never ever be forgotten or forgiven, it’s absolutely criminal. They can squeal all they want about Benitez or Moshiri or Kenwright but absolutely nothing excuses taking glee from watching your own club get closer to the drain.

‘Everton deserve it’ ‘will be good for the club’ ‘we need to be put out our misery early’ - absolute gutter rats. The lowest of the low.
You've lost your head you little rat

The West Ham result against Bournemouth could be a good one for us. The Bournemouth players won’t want to get battered twice in front of their own fans. They’ll know a win here and they secure safety. Hopefully there’s no complacency and they get the job down to pay their fans back for last week.
It'll certainly help if they are already safe and on the beach on the last day of the season.

We’ve won 3 away games over the last 2 seasons. 3 in 35 games. That is utterly shameful considering we sell out our allocation everywhere we go. It’s going to have to change- if we could pick up a win and 1 or 2 draws out of Leicester, Brighton and Wolves that could give us a chance going into the Bournemouth game. Our players are so mentally weak I just don’t know if they’ve got it in them.

As long as I can still watch/root for an Everton team playing each week, I’m not that arsed TBF. I can’t affect a single thing that goes on behind the scenes or on the pitch, and I refuse to let it affect my actual life. I’d prefer to be playing in the top flight, challenging for and/or winning things, but that ship sailed years ago. I suspect that, if we do go down, we’ll be in a similar boat - we’ll not be winning any cups, and probably not the division. As long as those whose lives include a relationship with the club, and who value the match day experience (including all of the time-worn traditions that go with it) get to continue, it’ll mean that the club is still going and that doesn’t need to change. It’s not the end of the world. If the club goes under because of it, different story, but until or unless that happens, we’ll still have our Everton FC. And it’s not over yet anyway. UTFT.
