Bit worrying though isn’t it when Koeman Silva Allardyce Benitez and Dyche can’t sort a decent defence out. These managers made their names in organising defences.

It took probably the greatest manager of all time to get this lot playing passably and even then he had to sack off the fullbacks to do it and it lasted about 4 months.

At what point do we just conclude that the defenders are crap?

I don’t think anyone would claim our defenders are good, or that our squad is great. Still doesn’t change the fact that Dyche was being promoted as making us very hard to beat and some of the games particularly recently (Fulham and Newcastle) have been as bad if not worse than anything Lampard served up.

He bombed Coady out after a bad spell so let’s see if he does it with his mate Keane, while we are conceding a lot more. His comments that Keane “had a good game” after Newcastle would suggest he won’t change the CB’s.

Just a reminder that we're playing Leicester City, not Barcelona or Real Madrid tonight.
That's the Leicester City that have conceded in their last 18-19 games and who are in the same lowly position as us. Home advantage can quickly turn sour when you expect to win easily but don't make a break-through in the first 20-30 minutes, the home crowd turn on the players in frustration and the players feel the pressure ramped up. Mistakes start to be made, the pressure gets heavier.
We have to go there and start like we did against Newcastle. Take the game to them.
DCL to make up for missing so many games tonight.

Great Post mate

Leicester 3-0 Everton
Vardy 3m
Tielmans 6m
Vardy 13m

Only joking

Never say never. The players owe a massive performance, I just don't think they're capable but let's hope they are tonight

Apart from Mina I think all the CB options are as bad as each other with Keane being the worst. Dyche should drop him but I don’t think you see a massive improvement if Coady Holgate or Godfrey come in for him. Mina would be the only one but there’s obviously something going on there we don’t know about as to why he hasn’t played a minute.

It can’t be an injury any more because he’s been on the bench for weeks now. As someone else said on here, if we play him and he goes off injured, there’s a 5 sub rule now, so it’s not as risky.

The less he plays, the better Mina is in the heads of many. He remains a donkey, bought on the back of a flukey World Cup.

If almost every manager we have had in the last few years won’t play him, perhaps he ain’t as good as people think. Stealing a wage was Lampard’s assessment. About the only thing he was right about.

Agreed, the players need to see this as a massive opportunity but not a make or break. I fear that if they see it as the latter, they will perform poorly under the pressure. It won’t send us down, but if we can win, it will be a huge points and psychological advantage

Recent history would definitely support your valid concern of this team buckling under the pressure, sadly.

Like you say, a loss won't send us down....but it will increase the pressure even further still on this teams brittle mentality for the remaining games.

I'm pretty sure he does this so as to protect Keane from the press. It's a common tactic by managers to get onside with the players.

I’m hoping Leeds don’t sack Gracia. They can’t get much worse than they already are but even a mini bounce could see them get a surprise result.
They floundered around before managing to get Gracia. I’m not sure who they’d be looking to get for a 4 game run in like they have unless they’re going to take a punt on someone like Allardyce.
