…because posters care what happens to their club.
They do. But they ones posting we are down every time one of the bottom 6 gets a corner are a bit much do you not think. The amount of over reactive posts on here the last 6 months ain't doing any one any good. We all know we are in trouble. But we are NOT relegated yet . But to read here we have been at least 50 times a day .

West Ham need to be getting knocked out off their European thing, we don’t need them needing to rest players against Leeds and Leicester.
I think the opposite. They are safe now. If they lose in Europe then the juice will have been sucked out of them and they will just cruise their remaining league games whereas if they reach the final they will be buzzing and any players coming in will be fighting for their place in the final. Provided Rice starts they get a result vs Leeds imo. Leicester away they probably lose regardless sadly.

As supporters we have little time to reflect on the people that will lose their jobs if we get relegated... Families that will lose their income because of this inept board.

The Esk tweeted some numbers today :-

Villa in 2016 lost 122 staff (35%)
Fulham in 2021 lost 66 staff (24%)
Sunderland in 2017 lost 47 staff (13%)

Given our finances, how many staff will be made redundant IF we go down? Relegation may be bad for the club and us as supporters but will be even more catastrophic for those who will lose their jobs off the back of this.

Dyche eluded to this in his presser....
We have nearly 100 people just working in the area of media working to protect Kenwright and his precious reputation, surely if he goes then we wouldn't need half of them anyway? Whether we stay up or not we will have to start cost cutting in certain areas.

Had hard luck against City and Liverpool.

Lost by the one goal in each.

They should have way too much for Leicester.

Lost to West Ham at home when they'd just been pummelled 5-1 by Newcastle a few days before and didn't really have many shots.

Think Mitrovic is still out and they simply don't score many goals without him.

£10 bet on us to win last4 games should return nearly £5000, had a tenner on 9.2 today, going to put all winnings on the next match till season end

The SF is two legs so Leeds game will be less than 72 hours after that so it will have an impact either way.

They won't be bothered on the final day regardless, surely won't put Rice out there as wouldn't make sense for him to pick up an injury and potentially miss their first european final in decades in what is a meaningless game for them.

If they don't make the europa final then mentally that will be their season over so Leeds game becomes a big issue then.

I think Leicester will get whatever result they need to survive on final day tbh, West Ham at home is an ideal way to finish really.

Urgh. That’s when it’s more than just millionaires kicking a bag around.

Strange though. I spent a few weeks in and around a PL club a couple of decades ago. Find it odd that Villa would have 122 ancillary staff that do have a needed role in the PL, but that role is suddenly defunct in the Championship. Need to hack costs quickly obviously, but the operations of the club don’t just stop? Can’t just pack in the operation and maintenance of facilities, finance departments will operate identically etc etc.

Clearly the cash swilling around PL makes clubs swollen and wasteful with roles that contribute little? We are bound to have done the same in trying to short cut our way to the big time again.

Not the fault of the people in those roles though. Would never blame someone for taking a job that’s available to them. Having your livelihood decided by the decision making of good times Bill is sobering. 😔

….it’s human nature that people react differently. I notice many posters coming up with scenario’s where we’ll escape the drop & others thinking it’s a done deal. There’s no right or wrong reaction to this, I actually think our fans have been amazing these past few seasons.

I think him going from a regular 2/10 performer to a regular 5/10 one has pulled the wool over many fans' eyes. I fully agree he's rubbish and a big reason for us struggling so badly in attack. Zero pace, an absolute refusal to even touch the ball with his right foot.
He's massively overrated and has loads of flaws. He's a bottom 6 team premier league player. And probably our outfield player of the year.

Depressing.

They should have a word with Keane, Iwobi, Bambi, Gray, Onanie and company.
